Hope you enjoyed your books Ann, I think that I have read "The Sea House" by Esther Freud... it sounds familiar anyway. Have recently read "The Scold's Bridle" by Minette Walters.

But my big news is ... I have just recieved notification, that following extensive journeys in the locality "Travels with my Aunt" has now arrived at my Library and is waiting to be collected, (by me!).

I will be going to get it on Wednesday, after having an Indian Head Massage at the local college.
(Reminder to self... Don't forget to take your comb!)

Read a couple of good books so far here. Louise Candlish The Second Husband and Esther Freud The Sea House. Also nearly finished Minette Walters Disordered minds.

It's amazing!
I just got Travels with my Aunt from a church sale and read Dragon Tattoo last year. I've just ordered The Widow Ginger from A****n used of course. Books are too expensive here to buy new.
hope you don't mind me pushing in.

T***o have changed their book pricing, where it used to be £3.85 or two for £7 it is now £7.99 buy one get one free. So what looks like a good offer is actually an increase.

Have read Dragon Tattoo.

On Saturday, as I hadn't heard from the Library about "Travels with My Aunt". I phoned them up.

Apparently, it got lost on its travels and went back home!
So Aunt is back on the shelf again!

They are going to sort it out for me, so I shoul get it in the next few days.

Went shopping in A**A today. They too had the two for seven pounds offer on books, which included "Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" so got that plus one other.

Still finishing a Library book, but will start Dragon Tattoo soon.

Julia, yes I got my copy in Tesco which will now be read by a friend and then passed to my daughter, then son in law so it will be well read.

Although not a member of Greaders, I do look in for book suggestions.
I got my copy of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo @ Sainsbury's. The offer was two for £7, so I chose the the second book by the same author, to go with it. I am sure I have also seen these books in Tesco.
Happy reading all.

Just as well I don't live in Auckland then, (although I have wanted to live in New Zealand since I was ten).

I thought that it was bad enough here in the West Midlands of England. Will be asking friends and family. in case they have a copy I can borrow.
Will also look in Charity Shops.

I got The Widow Ginger from my local charity shop, in a deal three for a pound. So I might get lucky (again).

I've just read in the national paper here that the Auckland City Library has 400 people waiting to read The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Just as well I bought my copy years ago.

Do you have your atlas out Ann? - my OH is reading it and I see he has the atlas there alongside it.

It was well worth the £3.86, two thirds of the way through now. Try charity shops Tess, it has been out a while.

Went to the library today to try to get Travels with my Aunt and Girl with the Dragon Tatoo. I couldn't find either of them, so have requested both.
Should get Travels with my Aunt quite soon, BUT ....

there is a queue for Dragon Tatoo, and I am 61st in the queue! They seem to have quite a few copies, which are all out on loan at the moment. So perhaps I will get it in a month or so.
