Mary should be having the surgery on her wrist tomorrow so can we all send positive thoughts that it goes to plan and she heals well afterwards and the pain is eased. Then we can have the benefit of her company again posting on here and telling us how the family are doing, especially when the dogs arrive in a few weeks hopefully.
Mary if you are reading the threads, lots of luck, love, and gentle hugs for you. Hope the ankle is well on the mend, do take care of yourself.

I just called Mary, who is naturally a little nervous. She is having the surgery under local anaesthetic at around 7pm our time tomorrow. She will be home again after around an hour as long as she has no reaction to the local, but has to have the arm elevated for some time, so what with the moonboot on one ankle and the arm in the air on the opposite side, she has decided she has to be careful as it will make her balance even more unsteady. I did ask her to get Colleen to take a pic.

Also, the money order Mary had to send to gr for renewing her membership didn't arrive so she still can't get onto genes. Seems she posted the letter.......into her bag and no further, discovered yesterday when she turned out her handbag. It will be on it's way tomorrow so with a bit of luck by the time the wrist has healed enough to risk typing again Mary will be able to send us messages.
Meantime she will get Colleen to let me know how she got on with the surgery and now she knows we will all be thinking about her, I hope it will help her through.

Just got this off another site: Carpal tunnel surgery completed this afternoon, now to make myself rest. Typing is awful slow with the wrong hand LOL

Glad the surgery is done with Mary, and hope the healing is speedy, do rest as you have been told to and get well soon.

Saw a note on fb:
Called back to the clinic yesterday, not just torn tendon/ligament in the ankle, but 10 days after the X-ray, they tell me there's an avulsion fracture. Well at least the air cast is the right treatment. One more thing, how am I going to explain the yellow paint on my hand bandage and fingernails to the Dr next week???? one bedroom wall done . . .

Will you stop and rest Mary? What is it with these stubborn friends of ours?

Just checked and Mary had been on fb, told me not to panic, she is using the other arm to paint but took the paintstained bandage off her poorly wrist, redressed it and put her brace on which she said feels more secure. Her gimpy leg is feeling better she says, but is cross with the painting as needs a third coat!

I think Mary worries that if she stops she won't start again lol,
