Yeah that is a bit expensive.
I had thought of paying to view an address but can't verify that it is the right one! - Think I will wait abit.
Thanks

2narmee unless you are desperate to know I would wait a year when I believe ancestry may have the records. Find my past have them for a year after all are on line ( I think ) after that they are open f or other sites to buy

**disappointed**

Thought this thread was about an exciting new flavour of crisps.

Really Uggers, you shouldn't post genealogy discussions on CHAT!!

Sue Two Report 15 Jun 2009 20:28

Yes its very costly and ive not paid for the origionals as cant afford it but tis tempting.
I went through 2 lots of £6.95 when it first came out in no time so went for bulk buy lol. Just found more in Wales but theres too many choices of some. Im not going through 15 John Higgin's to find none are he!! ......no way.

Hi Uzzi :-)

I suppose technically wotsits are a corn snack rather than a crisp.

I didn't know they did a hedgehog flavour. Mind you, walkers do make cajun squirrel flavour crisps which make me a little nervous to be honest......

Hello Sue Two~~~~~~~~~

I'm fine thank you.......how are you?

Maybe cheeky wotsits will be a little bit crunchy. ;)

I must think about something serious to say about the 1911 census quick before Uggers sends me to the Nana room for taking his serious conversation off topic.

Dear All

I think its a flippin' cheek to ask for a look up on the 1911 census.
It cost a lot to get the details of my ancestors from this census.
Because of similar names, this cost more money.

Some people think that joining GR site means that others
will do the work and pay the expense for you.

Sorry! Moan over!

Best wishes.
xx

How many people ask for census look ups - which you spend time doing - and then they can't say thank you or acknowledge receipt of the information

When I first joined GR, and saw people offering look-ups, I asked for several. In my ignorance, it did not cross my mind that these good people were paying financially for this information, though I was appreciative of their time and trouble. I suppose I must have thought that they had availability of other sites that I didn't. But as time went on, I realised that if I wanted access to this information, then I would have to buy credits for myself.
I may have been ignorant of the full facts, but was still, nevertheless very appreciative of the good nature of these fine people. To the best of my knowledge, I have thanked everyone who has helped me in this way. If anyone thinks I didn't, then please, I apologise, and take this opportunity to thank you now

Thanks for that offer Rose, but I can't narrow down the info I have as it's a bit "muddy" so to speak, so I shall wait until Ancestry launch it and then I can look all day. Thank you anyway.

Just to add, if anyone needs any Electoral Register look ups (2003 to 2009), please feel free to PM me:)

Julia Report 16 Jun 2009 11:34

Sorry Rita if i was abit misleading. I meant all the censii before the 1911. When I became aware that it was to be released, I quickly bought some credits in readiness. Surely people know that that particular site not only does not come free, but is the most expenive to do a look-up, and yet everyday you can see peopl asking for them on the various boards. Also, this is not the first thread refering to people asking for look-ups to the 1911.
Have a good day

technically,
I suppose you pay through the nose, for the convenience of sitting in your pooter chair, and getting results on your screen, which you download and can copy.

however to journey to the archives, would cost a small fortune for some travellers. so its horses for courses, I suppose.
and getting to Uggers' first comment, if requesters dont know that there is a charge , then maybe they can be forgiven, but I dare say that there ARE people that ask regardless........
