I'm going to have to go fetch Viv.

A couple of weeks ago she was regaling us with her tale of falling off a cow.

Doesn't that just look ... ridiculous? I fell off a cow.

I asked whether she couldn't at least have been thrown from a cow. Turns out she was.

Glenys is going to tell us about her trip to Canada. Come see! If she ever gets here ...

FannyByGaslight

And anyway, falling off the cow saved me having a brace on my teeth as at the same time as breaking my arm I knocked my teeth back straight.
Not bad for a 8 yr old .

Magpies steal sparklie things
Thieves of the bird world along with Jackdaws.
They all live outside my backdoor ,except when they go on holliday visiting relatives for a day or two

BTW Janey,hows the dogs dinner??
I am still waiting to save paying for a tin of dog food.

JaneyCanuck

JaneyCanuck Report 5 Jun 2009 23:23

Eh? What? Dog's dinner, I have learned, is different from dog's breakfast. I've had to explain dog's breakfast to numerous yanks on other boards.

I think that pic I linked to before, going the whole hog -- that would qualify as the dog's dinner. As would Uzzi's canine in full mosquito net rigging.

But I still don't know what you're talking about ...

Ooow, you mean Raúl! He's fine and furry, you wretch.

It's Pig is wasting ... sniff. I'd have thought Raúl the feral was the carrier of all disease around here, but he's outliving all the domesticated lumps.

Uzzi my dog Polly the staff does not like the washing but she likes water in general when we are out she loves the local lakes. Last year our sons dogs came for a hol. His collie swam out miles we couldnt get her back. The older dog ( a german shepherd is getting old so she only swam a little. ). Wish you well Anne in Wales.

UzziAndHerDogs Report 7 Jun 2009 11:18

Well we are still been driven mad but today she has had a swim, roll in the sand and a good shower with a medicated shampoo. Fingers crossed that it stops the itching or she is back to the nice ( !! ) man at the vets tomorrow.

Janey OH said no to the mozzie rigout >>>>>. dunno why !

at last she has stopped trying to kick the furniture in so ....peace again

But last night a dog not on a lead went for her, and managed to skim her coat , thankfully she is so thick coated. So today we are trying to convince her to come out from her chair !
