McAnne's Gahan-Crazy

McAnne's Gahan-Crazy Report 21 May 2009 13:08

I see the first 4 dates of Michael Jackson's tour have been put back - tho i've heard conflicting reasons as to why lol

And I just phoned the O2 about my reserved parking space for 30th, to confirm it's transferrable should the unthinkable happen - the chap i spoke to wasn't even aware of recent events a la DM ........... so i took that as a good sign for now lolol

Oh McAnne, I do hope so, I really do, I'm keeping everything crossed for you too ;o))

I'm still toying with the idea of going to see The Human League in Thetford Forest in July. Tickets are quite expensive, and I've got sooo much other stuff going on through June/July already.

It seems I *may* have had one too many vodka's at the weekend, and told everyone I'm going to throw a BIG party at my gaff for my 40th in July, as well as having a big night out too...

Damn that vodka.

:op

Morning Heidi

Everything upto 27th May is cancelled as they say Dave needs more time to recover fully enough to continue the tour (well it does extend into the new year) ............

Fingers crossed that next week he will be much improved - i reckon he's saving himself for the 'homeland' and will return on the London gig :O)))))))))))

Any news yet Muffy? I spent the rest of yesterday in the garden, before I went to FatClub for the second week....I lost 3.5lb's...

Ladies- I don't mind the long-drops, it'sthe portaloo's that smell the worst! I have this theory (usually works!) that you take a HUGE lung-full as you enter, and it gets the smell over and done with in one fell swoop. Once you've smelt it once, it doesn't seem so bad after that!

We camped about 10 feet away from the long-drops at Reading last year, we're SOOO brave...! And I NEVER camp too close to a hedge ;o)) Heheheh!

I'd love you girls to come with me, I bet you'd be SO much fun :o))

My Sister's been going to Glasto since about 1996, and has only had two years when the weather was terrible, think it was 2006 that her tent was literally washed away. Her and her boyfriend ended up sharing a tent with a couple of girls they'd never met before, and have never seen since - that's the Glasto spirit.

Maz (the Royal One) in the East End 9256 Report 20 May 2009 11:31

ah yes the lovely long-drops - foul foul foul

then there's the fact that the blokes go and wee by the trees/fences at the edge of the site, so if you are unlucky enough to have your tent there :-(((

and of course the hotter and drier the weather, the stinkier the loos, so there are some advantages to lower temperatures and rain!

one lasting memory is of walking round to a neighbouring farm, and joining a queue for fresh milk - straight from the cow through the filter into our jugs - delicious!

don't remember huge amounts of the rest of it - can't imagine why pmsl ;-))

I've been to Glastonbury twice (many years ago lol) and I think we had one half day of rain in total - I must be lucky or the climate really IS changing!
He must've been really ill for this amount of gigs to be cancelled, normally you're back to normal within a week. Hope you girls don't miss out!

I'm very jealous of you going to Glastonbury Heidi and I HOPE for once it stays dry for you all.
