Fried, scrambled, poached, soft boiled, hard boiled, I like them anyway.
and good for you and not thought to be so bad for us after all, according to recent scientific research which they will no doubt change their minds about again.
Long live the humble egg.

Funnily enough my youngest daughter just asked for a fried egg sandwich...........as I was cooking it it occured to me that she won't eat a fried egg if it's part of a dinner ie egg, chips and beans.........whats that all about I wonder ?

Amanda, the same as my eldest son, who wouldn't eat sausage but would eat a sausage roll when he was little, I could never understand it.

I don't eat egg if it's runny. eg poached egg, runny boiled egg (ok if yellow) or fried egg where the yolk is runny or orange.

I only eat my egg when it has a yellow yolk.

Hoobity

Hoobity Report 17 May 2009 14:01

You certainly can Rose.
I always buy free rangeif I have to buy eggs, but I get a dozen every Saturday from my step dad...his mate has chickens on an allotment, mind you they come fresh straight from the hen and sometimes not so clean. They sometimes have straw and something else still on them.

Runny... fried poached or boiled.... but the yolk has to be runny... I buy free range but guaranteed salmonella free hens eggs at the moment, for obvious reasons, lol.... I can't get enough of them since they have been back on my menu... scrumptious!! I went off scrambled egg when I was in hospital.... they were so gross!! Yuk!!

Love

I'll eat them any way they come but my favourite is dippy eggs and soldiers....or, as the kids call them, dippy legs and shoulders!

Hoobity

Hoobity Report 17 May 2009 14:31

dippy eggs and soldiers yum.
What about french toast / gypsy toast

My youngest likes that Hoobity. She has it with sugar or syrup on like a pancake. We always had it with beans or tomato sauce on as a savoury dish

Children never cease to amaze me about what they will eat lol
I just can't imagine french toast / gypsy toast as a sweet but my OH has just said that sounds nice and my daughter says the Americans have it as a sweet.
