Sallie which cheery lynn die did you get? I recentley got two christmas ones, have you seen the new Anna Griffith dies they look very pretty, I may have a look at them...
hope the forecasted storm isnt too bad were you all are, my worry is for D going over the pennines on the M62 its lethal most of the time, but she takes it all in her stride, well my lovlies I shall go and get dressed and have some breakfast, take care love Jean xxx .

Hi girls,
Thank goodness all went well for you at the hospital on Friday. Let's hope that you will have no more problems with it in the future. I can imagine worried you were, I know I would have been the same as you.
Sounds as though you and Roly had a lovely meal out with your family, yesterday evening. It's great having the family all around you. Was Lilly there, or was it adults only>
It's lovely having the 'littlies ' visit ....butit is very tiring, but still wouldn't be without them. Hope all goes well for you on Wednesday, and that you won't be too tired.
Have you found out when your friend's is yet? Thinking about her family and that it all goes well for them.
Jean, thank you for the info, I'll have a look on the website to see if I can find any size 3 shoes that I like in my size.
I bought the Cheery Lynn Christmas die, ' Merry Christmas and Holly Sentiment', I haven't tried it yet, but I've wanted a Christmas Sentiment die for a while. It's fatal going into the one craft shop in Derby, they sell most makes of dies, with a good selection of dies.
I hope that the coming storms won't be as bad as they have forecast, I'm sure that D will be fine and she will show her common sense if it is bad. I'm just the same worrying about Richard, where he goes to has lots of trees, so warned him on the phone to take a lot of care around when he's out in the care in those areas.
Ann, hope that you are feeling much better today and not in too much discomfort.
Hope that they won't keep you waiting too long for the carpet estimate and that they will fit it very soon.
Huia, hope you are feeling better and not so tired now.Did you get to Hamiliton okay and enjoyed your time with the family.
Well girls, take care!
Speak to you tomorrow.
Love, Sallie.xxx

Hello girls, hope that you are all okay after the night storms. It wasn't too bad here, just some heavy rain showers.
Mo, it looks as though you have had it quite badly there in Kent...hope that you are not without power.
I haven't heard anything from Richard, so things must be okay there.
Speak to you all later.
Take care.

ooh I thought I had added to this thread recently, looks like I haven't, sorry. I have been reading though. Glad your appointment went well Mo and the results were good. I don't remember eading where the cyst is but good to know it is just a cyst, hope you don't need any further treatment anyway. glad you enjoyed your meals out and your birthday.
Jean, if we eat out we normally go at lunch time as we like to go on the bus and don't feel that town is so safe in the eveings with all the people in and out of pubs and clubs.
Leg is recovering well after the minor op. Just like a ¾ inc h scraze, uncovered now and not painful unless I rub or knock it.
We seem to have escaped the storm, it was very wet over night and breezy but no real storm despite being on amber alert.

Hello girls, Thank goodness the storm is now gone. Last night it was horrendous, lashing down with rain, and the winds were awful and frightening. At six thirty this morning, I went out in the garden to ensure that everything was safe, fortunately it was, apart from my peg tin, it had blown off the garden table the lid had somehow come off, and the pegs were all over the garden, but that was nothing to worry about. But when I looked over the garden fence, next doors wooden garden table, was laying down the bottom of their garden, smashed to smithereens, the big heavy duty boxes they store all their garden tools in was also smashed. The brown wheelie bin that the garden refuse goes in, was laying on it's side, with all the food and garden scraps, spread everywhere. We were so lucky to get away scot free really. A young 17 year old girl was killed, in a village near us last night. A tree fell onto the caravan she was staying in, whilst her parents were renovating their house. How sad, she was so young. Luckily we didn't have any power cuts to make the situation worse.
I was in the kitchen earlier, and I could hear water dropping onto the extension roof. When I went into the garden, the header tank overflow was pouring with water. So Roly has had to go up in the attic to sort out the ball valve, thankfully it has now stopped. Now that we are on a water meter, that was all we needed, to waste water is sacrilege.
I hope all our friends are safe and warm, following the storm. Bye for now my friends, take care. Love and hugs Mo xxx

Glad that you and Roly are safe with no damage Mo. Sounds like you ere lucky and also that you had secured everything. We put our garden table etc in a safer place but luckily the storm missed us. That was sad about that young girl wasn't it? We saw it on the news, poor lass, so young. :-)

Hi Jean, wondering where you were, sorry that you have had the dreaded vertigo---lets hope that you are over the very worse of it now. l have been looking in each evening but not posting. Let's hope that you are able to use your new die later on today.....you'll then know that you are much better.
It's our day for doing the weekly shop, so will go as soon as Alun arrives home. Not a job that I like, but it has to be done.lol!!
Mo, I know you and Roly have Lilly today, you will both have enjoyed having her but feeling a bit worn out by the time she goes home.lol!!
I hope your new fire is in and working alright now. Even though we have central heating, I still like to see the glow of a fire...sometimes still seem to live in days gone by.lol!!
Ann, how are things with you and T? Hope that you are both alright.
Huia, hope you are feeling a bit better and not so tired now.
Well, must go and get ready to do the shopping, might look in again later on.

Hi All, Jean I replied to you on the craft thread re your vertigo. I hope it doesn't last long. Maybe it is a form of migraine this time if it is different. I have just spent an hour making my sister's card, I like to make one a bit special and just realised it need to be posted in the next few days to Turkey. She likes Art Deco so I have used one of the ladies and made it Christmassy, quite pleased with it. Must remember to take a photo of it too.
Sallie, yes we are fine thnaks, we have the weekly shop to look forward to tomorrow. At l;east I get a rest from cooking tonight as T will do a fry up for us. :-) :-)
Mo, hope you enjoyed your day with Lilly. wish we were near enough to have Luke. :-(

Hi ladies, Oh what a lovely day I have had with Lilly. It was just the two of us, as Roly had to do a job at our daughters house. We had a great time, playing noisy games, with no grandad here to complain about the noise, we let our hair down. Goodness knows how many visits we made to the loo, but thank goodness she is using it again. She went back to doing everything in her nappy for a while, but as we have had her more frequently, with a little patience she is getting back into the good habits. I am exhausted now, but it's been such a lovely day, and so worth while.
Jean, I am sorry to hear that your balance is going again love. Is your blood pressure o.k honey, as that can make you feel the way you are.
Sallie, I am pleased to report that the fire is in, and working lovely. Looking at the flames alone make you feel warmer, without having the heat working on it. I have to admit that I was dreading having to wait for it to be finished, but Roly surpassed himself, and got on with it pretty quickly.
Ann, I know you would love to have Luke closer to you. I bet he would be spoilt with loads of love and attention from you both. How anyone could harm a child, is way beyond my comprehension I'm afraid. They don't ask to be born, and are a blessing to be grateful for, not abused the way some are.
Well my lovelies, it's time for bed, so I will say goodnight, god bless. Love Mo xxx

Hi Mo, and everyone
I'm so glad to hear that none of you had problems with the weather!
Jean .............. hope the vertigo gets better soon, and that your headache gets better.
we are at the end of our good weather ......... 3 weeks of no rain, although there was a lot of fog! ...................... now the rain started about an hour ago :-( :-(
I have to go to the doctor tomorrow afternoon (Thursday) ............. to get the result of the biopsy, plus my flu shot.
I'm not that worried about the biopsy ............. they haven't phoned me to get into the office ASAP, which is what they do if there has been a positive result!
take care everyone

Hello girls, I hope you are all keeping well today, and that our little friend Jean has either seen the doctor, or has been getting some well deserved rest.
Good luck Sylvia with the results my friend, and I hope you don't get any side affects from the flu jab, I had a sore arm for a couple of days but that was all.
Today my friend Florence is at the oncology department, having her mask made for radiotherapy. Bless her, the specialists she saw earlier in the week, are going down this path first, as the cancerous growth has got so big in her nose, that they think surgery would need to be drastic, so they are trying to shrink it first.
We have had to put the heating on today, as it's turned really cold, and I seem to be starting another cold and feeling under the weather. Why oh why do I always get these darned colds as soon as the weather changes.
Must go now girls, speak to you tomorrow. Hugs Mo xxx

Hi Mo, and everyone
a grey drizzly day today.
we didn't have Hallowe'en at this house ............... OH had to go out, and I don't like doing it on my own ................ I find it a bit difficult to keep getting up to answer the door, and find it painful to stay standing for long periods.
So, we turned off all lights outside and in the front rooms. Plus had only a few lights on at the back of the house. I have heard very little noise of kids outside .......... we are a corner house, so get them coming along 2 streets. I think the weather may have deterred a lot of kids. I have heard lots of fire crackers going off somewhere in the neighbourhood!
had my flu shot this afternoon at the doc's .................
................... and got the report on the biopsy he did 2 weeks ago.
Not such good news, yet not very bad news!
It shows that the "thingy" is a squamous cell carcinoma, so I have to be referred to a dermatologist to have it all removed.
They think it will be able to be cut out in the dermatologist's office.
Squamous cell carcinoma is a cancer of the outermost cells of the skin, usually as a result of sun exposure. It is easily treatable, as long as it is not ignored and left for years.
I've asked to be referred to the same dermatologist that OH goes to for treatment of his basal cell cancers .............. OH likes him a lot.
He's a Welshman!
It's the second squamous one I've had. The last one was smaller (and looked different!), and was completely removed by the doctor so I didn't have to go to a dermatologist, just watch my skin for other "possibles".
Mo ................ good luck to your friend with her radiology.
It's often used to reduce the size of tumours before further treatment.
Take care everyone

We were lucky with the trick or treaters last night Sylvia. There was only one ring on the doorbell before I went out, and I ignored it. Normally I have treats in for the children, but last year no one came, so this year I didn't bother to buy any, and lo and behold, one rang, so rather than face a little one with no treats to hand, I ignored them. I have to admit, I did feel guilty, but I don't like to give money to children, and that I could have done easily enough, but it could be misconstrued by some parents couldn't it. Most of the youngsters who used to knock, are now that much older, 17/18 and can't be bothered with what they consider as below them. lol Sorry to hear of your carcinoma, but thank god it was found when it was, and can now be sorted for you my love. To be honest Sylvia, I firmly believe that my friend Florence is under the impression that the radiotherapy will completely get rid of her problem. But being realistic, I think she is in for a shock, bless her. But we will support her, through it all. Thats what true friends are for.
Would anyone like a cold....I am giving it away free to anyone who would like it. lol I would like to get hold of the person who gave it to me, but not to thank them, believe you me.
Well my little loves, I will say cheerio for now, hope to speak to you all over the weekend. Love and hugs Mo xxx

Stay indoors in the warm Jean, I don't want to hear you have been knocked out by a giant hailstone my love. I hope you are feeling a little better now honey. Just what we didn't need at this time of year, our car is off the road. Roly thinks it to do with the power steering, but our son in law will check it over for us tomorrow, so that when we put it in for repair we know what we are on about. Must go now, the dancing is on soon, and I don't want to miss it. Take care everyone, love and hugs, Mo

Hi Mo,and everyone
Mo .......... what a nuisance!
I sometimes think these "new-fangled" things are more trouble than they are worth!!!! :-)
We have been under a Heavy Rain Warning since yesterday evening, and ti will continue until this evening. It's pouring!!
It is not helped by the fact that the trees have lost almost all their leaves suddenly over the last few days, and people just have not been able to keep up with clearing them away. So gutters and drains are blocked!
It was like a fast running "creek" down the street gutter alongside the coffee shop this morning!
We also have to go out this evening, so hope it has eased off by then!!
I have an appointment to see the dermatologist on December 18 .......... and yes, it is with my preferred person. The clinic I go to is very good about that kind of thing.
take care everyone

Sylvia, it appears our weather is following your pattern. Tonight it is blowing a gale, and it's been raining on and off all day. They have forecast the same type of weather that we had last week, for this weekend and into next week. It was horrendous, and we don't need to go through it again. Our front drive is covered in leaves as well, but we haven't managed to get out and sweep them up just yet. I wouldn't mind but, we don't have any trees in our garden at all, they all come from neighbours gardens. I do hope it has cleared by the time you have to go out this evening. Enjoy yourself Sylvia. Bye for now, speak to you soon.
