Yes you do have to boil them for longer........it's a bit hit and miss trying to get the perfect dippy egg but worth the effort if you can get it right .

I bet they make a lovely omelette as well .

Muffyxx Report 9 Apr 2009 21:01

I'm not sure Amanda.......I only go to the market generally when it's warm so that could well be the case lol.

Yeah I will have a try of them.......I've got one chicken who has gone broody AGAIN so if it's a nice day on Sunday I'll go and get some...seeing as I'm going to be low on *home made* eggs this week lol

Do you have to cook them for longer or anything? xx

Amanda2003 Report 9 Apr 2009 20:58

Are duck eggs only layed in the Spring time ? I'm sure I don't see them about on the market all year round .
Treat your self Muffy..........they really are yummy : )

Muffyxx

Muffyxx Report 9 Apr 2009 20:56

I thought I saw one Helen..........but I wasn't 100% sure as my chickens lay eggs with really orangey yolks.......maybe it doesn't stand out so much? lol.

They sound lovely Amanda......I may treat myself to half a dozen when the chickens go broody next and stop laying.......try them for myself xx

Sounds like you had an alright day Muffy :)

Saw my beautiful Italian today *sighs*. Got to wait another four months before I see him again... which is good from a health point of view but sooooooooo bad for my emotional wellbeing lol.

Speaking of photos........

I was looking through some today and found one Mum took when they went to Canada once.

It is the sky and you can just see the ground far below with just the tip of a plane wing...............I can still hear Mum saying very seriously

"We took that from inside the aeroplane"

Bless her:))) lol
