When i broke some fingers i asked the doc at a&e if i would be able to play the piano, he said yes no problems,

Great i said, i couldn't play it before i broke em, lol

Hi Shimms, that was a way piano teachers did use, I taught the method off imagining cupping an orange. I get little time to play or sing now but still love to pick up a piece and play for the family on whatever instrument is handy!

Started with the Triangle and tamborine .Moved up to the recorder and playing 'Little Bird' .Then the piano up to grade 4 ,and a bash at the violin.
I can play Chopsticks still Lol

I play piano.Taught classical music and then ended up playing in a jazz band.Played a regular spot at the Cavern and the Beatles were our supporting group.

Wow Brenda - that's a good CV!

I can play the recorder! Can pick out a tune on the piano. Had violin lessons at school ('cos I fancied the violin teacher!). Played the cello at school too!

Mind you, I'm tone deaf and can't sing at all! If I sing at home OH (who can sing and does sing) says "Jill, don't do that"
