Girls have come home with the menu for their St Georges Day lunch.

*Roast English Pork with Apple Sauce*

I would've said Beef was more traditional than pork????

Or fish n chips lol.

What would you say a traditonal English dish would be? .....xx

MY DAD WAS ENGLISH AND THAT WAS CONSIDERED BY HIM TO BE THE TRADITIONAL DISH

Roast beef and yorkshire pudding, mashed potatoes, carrots, turnip, cabbage, parsnips, peas and proper homemade roast beef gravy made from the sediment of the beef joint....ohh and apple pie and custard for pudding.

Hiya Vods.......nothing like a good ol roast xx

Full menu is.........

Roast English Pork with Apple Sauce
OR English Chesse and Onion Quiche.
OR St Georges Sliced Turkey

Roasted English Potatoes

Beautiful English Cabbage (is there such a thing? lol)
OR The Best of English Salad

DESSERT.......St Georges' special Dragon Pudding and Custard.

..........all sounds yum to me !!! But I'd way prefer roast beef myself lol xx

Roast Chicken loads of veg roast potatoes and don,t forget the Bread Sauce. Queens pudding or bread pudding to follow.
Failing that a chicken tika biriani.

I'm not keen on bread sauce Newby........though if I were having chicken or turkey I'd have to have pigs in jackets with it.......

I haven't a clue what a Dragon Pudding is............I'm sure I'll find out on the 23rd though xx

I,m sure I read somewhere that Yorkshire pud was a starter in the old days to fill people up before the main course. , might be wrong tho

So......................................................what would he have eaten ???
