Soooooooooo Ann and Michelle........it's good to hear that you've won something.........I'd like to win ANYTHING.......the car and the £2500 worth of assorted prizes would be favourite..........but I'd even settle for the £10 crossword prize from the local paper lol

I need some good news........so am going to carry on for now til the sight of a crossword makes me feel nauseus lol.

Well, as you say, in it to win it. Keep trying, Michelle saying about bug sprayer reminded me I also won some car cleaning stuff. The funny thing was when doing all the comps, if a prize arrived it invariably didn't say where it came from. but to win the postcard ones you had to send off at least 6 a week.
You don't see so many comps in the supermarkets these days, there used to be loads, they were the ones with big prizes which I never won.

LOL Stray I know what you mean.

At the school fete they had a stall where you could chose your prize........ they were wrapped so you didn't know exactly what you were getting.........youngest chose a bottle shaped one for mummy .........turns out it was a bottle of posh water............grrrrrrrrrrrrr lol xx

Yeah I pretended that bottled water was my absolute FAVOURITE drink in the whole world............

I'm having to fill that bottle up with tap water to this day to keep the dream alive lol xx

Years ago, I went to the Church Bazaar (do they still have them?) with my nana. In the raffle, I won first prize.

A fully functioning , hand made fort, made by one of the vergers. How pleased was I?


I took same fort home and it was set up in the corner of the living room, right beside my younger brothers' hamster cage.

Wrong move, mam!

Younger brother took the hamster out of its cage and gave it free run in the hand made, fully functioning fort.

I really hope that that hamster enjoyed his time in Avalon, before the very-realistic portcullis guarding the entrance (made of the verger's used razor blade) did its worst......

Poor hamster!!

Muffy you are going to be jealous, two competition prizes in the letterbox today, third for the week, only small items, book, fridge magnet, & keyring in-shower hair removal cream but a win is a win.
