Mine is the dentist, found out today I have to have a small filing on the 2nd March. Got home & had a ruddy good cry.

Son (almost 14) got his first removable brace yesterday & soon he will have 4 teeth removed ready for the train track brace. I will be in the room when he has this done & im dreading it. :o((. He will have the teeth removed under 2 different appointments....twice the stress & now my blooming filling on top of it all.:o(((

Hieghts. I thought doing a parachute jump might fix it but it just made it infinately worse. Ten years later I still wake up in a cold sweat thinking of the endless drop.

Don't like earwigs........*shudders at the thought*

Not keen on heights, not as bad as I used to be. In my old job we had to walk out onto a gantry to turn on the arsine scrubber. The gantry was only about 20 ft up. But made of a type of wire mesh you can look through to the ground!!! Every day it made me queasy. lol

Since my brothers injury, escalators.

I have tried to overcome my fear, yet those horrid ones in London ... Alko, Daisy and I had to walk miles as I just could not get my feet to move to go down them.

oh and ....

dragonflies

and ...

blood tests, injections

Snap Shimms!!

i hate escalators! i can go up them but not down. i also have agrophobia so don't like the feeling of not being able to get out of situations and crowded places. so that doesn't help with the escalators because once you are on it going down you can't get back up again! arghhhh.

so escalators,
crowds,
and Sharks! -the damage that jaws did was endless!lol

My dear old nan (bit like caff tates nan but without the swearing LOL ) was afraid of mice.

I once had a board game as a kid which had small plastic coloured mice with long tails. Looked nothing like the real thing,

I mucked about putting one near her & she went mad at me, I could see it in her face she wasnt joking either !

Hubby is phobic of rats, cant blame him as his dad was Lock keeper on the river Lea & the lock keepers house was stuck in a field near to the lock.
Apparently there was loads of rats along the river bank & I would imagine being one of six kids, they were told some gory tales to keep them away from the river (and falling in )!

Oh Shimms, do you remember I tried to get you on and I went down and you were still stuck at the top! I did feel for you....................... my feet still ache lol xxxxx

My fear is the wind ..................... as soon as they mention gales on the weather report, i go into a state of complete panic

ShimmsRedRoseAndMistletoe Report 18 Feb 2009 17:51

Hi Daisy,

I do too and ... you then had to come all the way back up, gosh how steep were those escalators ... seemed to me that they were like a 1:1 hill, shuddering thinking about them.

I remember too your fear of wind. xxx

:) still smiling :) Report 18 Feb 2009 18:53

thanks Shimms.

it's quite a mild case. doc said it's not as bad as it could be and everyone around me knows and knows what to do say when they can see i am getting uncomfortable so helps prevent any really bad panic attacks i might get. it's usually ok, just certain situations i don't like overly much!

tell me about it, i never used to be bad with escalators it's just in the last few years. :)

Dentists
Dont go untill I cant bear it any longer
Then have to have the injection in my arm before they do any work at all
This all stems from having 5 out at once when I was young
It was a horrible experience,
