The latest is:- the poor man is showing no signs of improvement - still in the Western. I heard today that it was with hitting his head on the edge of the kerb that has caused all the brain damage. I also heard that normally he is the 'main carer' for his wife and daughter!!

Thanks for asking, Brian.

Poor man and family what a dreadful time for them.

Saw an item on tv news about some lollipop peeps having camera in their pole, think it is only being tested out in some areas at present.

Yesterday afternoon I was driving between 3 - 3.30 pm and came out of 40 mph stretch to 30 mph and was also slowing a bit more as knew lollipop person would be round the next corner before a large roundabout - had to tap my brakes although I was slowing gradually because the car behind me was getting to close to me for comfort - they probably not even noticed it was 30 mph area.

It's typically the good person who is needed so badly who suffers isn't it? Some waster who is a thief or worse would have got away with a scratch, had he or she been hit by a car.
Doesn't sound good for this poor man but maybe a miracle will happen.

Best wishes to the lollipop man. I hope he makes a ful recovery.
What are the authorities thinking of though. If the crossing is so dangerous for this to happen how can they now let it be unmanned?

Strange coincidence that I was wondering yesterday and asking about somebody I know as I hadnt seen them for a while. Her daughter was actually killed during her duty as a lollipop lady. White van man was using mobile but claimed the sun was in his eyes. She left behind 2 teenage children. Her mother was doing her best to look after them. Last time I saw her she had been for an operation. Yesterday I realised that I hadnt seen her in the shop where I work for a long while.

I have been away for a few days, Brian - so haven't any further info. Except there is now a lady manning the crossing.
