I've had a quick look but can't find any cats found in your area,
but it might be worth putting a description in the lost section.

Good luck.

As well as local vets, it's worth contacting your local Cats Protection League. When one of mine went missing I printed up loads of A4 flyers which I put in neighbours doors and also on local lamp posts and fences - a lady living 2 streets away saw the flyer, the cat had decided to set up home with her!

Still missing...

I have put flyers on lots of lamp posts and bus shelters....
I have searched the woods...
I have searched all road sides...
I have asked the council road sweepers....
I have put flyers in local houses asking them to check sheds and garages....
I have phoned all the vets.I have phoned the Police (they dont want to know but did give me Council phone numbers)

My other cat Maggie is following me around the house. She pops out for a pee and straight back in!

It's the not knowing that hurts...

Someone must have stolen her! She will be going mad if she cant get outside!
I know that if she could get out, she would find her way home.

I watched her birth and assisted her mum give birth as she was the second baby and was breach. I gently pulled her out.

Someone in Stevenage MUST know what happened to her!

Her comfy cusion still has the indentation of where she last layed......it will stay there till she returns.....

Gutted and heart broken Gerri x

Gerri, this isn't your Norwegian cat then? It was you who got one I think?

I do hope there is good news soon and she will be back home before long.

Still now news about your cat?

MrsBucketBouquet Report 17 Jan 2009 15:25

No news i'm afraid :-((

The vets called this morning and my heart missed a beat.
She was just asking if there was any news so as to keep the notice board updated :-(

Gutted!

Our other puss ( Norwegian forest cat Maggie) follows me from room to room. She only pops out for a pee and straight back in again.
I swear she's depressed, same as we are.
She's off her food, same as me.

Some people think 'it's just a cat!' Well it's NOT. They are a part of our family!
I miss her terribly :-(

Whats peoples views about microchipping cats?
I might have changed my mind now and am thinking of getting Maggie done......YES or NO?

Have there been any big deliveries in the area lately, i.e. large vans that she could have sneaked inside?

Are there any holiday homes, that were used over Christmas and are now locked up?
When I was a child living in Mevagissey, our cat went mising for 4 days - someone eventually noticed her in the window of an empty holiday cottage. She'd sneaked in when the occupants were leaving!!

Hi Gerri, yes get Maggie chipped, she is a special cat and would be highly sought after so best to be able to prove she is yours and easier to find you if she gets away and lost. Hope her little friend comes back soon. I have been through this several times, it's awful waiting for news of them.

Another thought, you don't live near the station do you? A friends cat used to try and sneak on the trains in Letchworth station, their garden backed onto the station.

Spent tonight making new flyers.

Someone told me that some 'low lifes' are stealing cats and dogs and waiting for flyers to show a reward and then returning the pet to collect the money!

Purdy is/was TOO friendly! everyone around here knows her.
Thank God Maggie is afraid of her own shadow!

Also..

When driving to work today down the A1M (one junction from Stevenage) I saw a road kill but was driving too fast to see exactly.(maybe she got in a car and they threw her out?)

I drove home tonight to drop of my work partner and then went back to where i thought the road kill was and missed it again!
I did this twice!
I will check again in the daylight tomorrow.

Maggie still isnt eating much and she keeps looking behind the sofa's. She wants her playmate back!...so do I ...

One week ago tonight. Monday after 10pm.
If someone did take her...i hope they ROT IN HELL!

Gerri

Liz...Maggie is booked in to be chipped. I hope it doesnt hurt!

Oh Geri,

I feel your pain.

We are quite paranoid about letting our cats out now. Our neutered tom has a habit of going out and stopping out for 2 or 3 days. He is gorgeous, completely grey but with a tiny dash of white tucked under his chin. His normal place is right in front of the open fire stretched out, he will even edge his human brothers & sisters out of the way to get prime position!!! My older female will go out and come back in quite quickly and their daughter hasnt yet been out and she is nearly a year old. My 3yo son has named them all after Bob the Builder charachters. Pilchard (dad), Dizzy (mum) and Spud (daughter). They are very much part of the family and my hubby has even been charmed by Pilchard!!!

I do so hope your kitty turns up soon for your sake and for Maggie. You are right about the not knowing. We lost 2 about 3 years ago, we found 1 in the road and the other one never re-appeared. We spent months following up on tip offs, even now I would love to know what happened to Angel......

Thinking of you.

love Theresa
