I'm terrified of birds, especially wild ones...so not to bad with ducks or chickens. It's the shape of the body and the thin legs, sounds silly I know and I wish I didn't have this phobia I really do. If a poor bird hits the window and is laying in the garden dead I can't move it even with a shovel! It's a fairly common phobia I think, but I have it really bad!

Anyone else suffer from the same one?

I cannot stand toes and toe nails - they seem so weird and scary and wiggly. Podiatrist does my nails for me - thanks goodness. LW

My friend has a phobia about buttons, and also chains (the necklace type). I find both of them really strange.

Can't think of any real phobias that I have myself.

EyebrowsEd Report 2 Jan 2009 01:00

I don't do spiders - I think it's because when I was a kid my two elder sisters went hysterical when there was a spider in the house and it rubbed off on me. I'm not as bad as I used to be, but once we're looking at a beastie over a certain size I can't touch them.

My daughter has a phobia of clowns. (I've always thought they were a bit sinister myself). One of her friends also has the buttons phobia.
