GR I'm thinking you should have asked uUS what we wanted.
Pale green writing is very hard on the eyes.My eyessight is not brilliant so it all appears blurry?
If I have to use this all day I will go blind.

This is change for the sake of it.

AND who put the bit we are ment to read to one side of the screen!!!??????

I agree - it is APPALLING !!

It's pale green!?!?!? I though the new colour scheme was shades of grey?? lol Either way it is too feint and very difficult to read.

Well if we want it restored what do we do ?

Have you tried the daily matches?if you want to checl them for 1 day you have to change it to that on every page.Lets hope its just teething probs.Sue

I wonder how anyone who is colour blind is managing as green is a problem colour to some ?

and OMG have you looked at your technicoloured TREE !!!

Obviously done by the same people who do the new road layouts.........you know the ones, they obviously don't drive......same as the ones who have done this *upgrade*......they don't USE a computer!!

GR, if you are taking note......this new layout is dreadful. It's change just for the sake of change, nothing good about it at all.

Hi everyone.........this is a cynical commercial exercise....if i want to watch the ads i'll watch telly..absolutley appalling...and i too am hasving trouble reading it....

mine isn't pale green either? It's sort of dark grey writing on a very pale grey/green background. maybe it depends on your pc/operating systems/settings. I'm on Vista with its basic colours.

I remember last time it was changed (sorry, I seem to keep saying this!) and almost everyone mailed them to complain. It didn't do any good then and I doubt it will do any good now I'm afraid.

I must be in the minority cos I quite like it! The tree part is much clearer, IMHO, from what I have seen so far. There will be good and bad things I expect, but I think we will have to just get used to it, as we have done before.

Just sussed what this reminds me of! Filling in a form for housing benefit or similar.....not 'friendly' in any respect!

The green is too hard, we tried this shade on 'my' other site but softened it down and faded it, much better....

sorry Gail, no offence meant, I was just trying to say that I doubt they will change anything no matter how many messages they get, because they didn't last time. I don't think the 'community' is really a priority for them unfortunately.

My 'ancestor tree' is coming up fine? I can't click on the 'up' button, but click and drag works just fine.

I'll shut up now as I am obviously the only one who isn't unhappy!

This layout is obviously intended for people with excellent vision. I am sitting with my glasses on squinting at the screen and it's making my eyes hurt.

I don't think I can take much more of this before a headache or migraine comes.
The small screen is to make sure we see the ad's at all times.

What will GR say? I expect the usual that the majority of people want this.

I feel our views come last.

Help, I've just looked at familiar friends tree, now no notes are visible, no places of birth and guess what, an error message popped up and the whole thing froze !
Nothing changes !
This is really hurting my eyes.

Next to where I am typeing I have a box saying this web pag can not be displayed please use refresh button.well lets see if this works.

I think this is awful. The tree part itself is ok but these boards are really giving me eye-strain.

Think its time to move my tree elsewhere thats easier on the eye.

Well I just can't believe this!! I hate it, just went to reply at the bottom of the page and it then jumps to the very top for you to type your message into it.

No even worse than I thought GR ever could make it.

I must be in the minority as i quite like the new look but i do agree on the colour of the text as i wear glasses and black text would have been a lot better .
The other thing that is annoying as some of you have said is the stupid way it is all to one side not in the middle .

NOT an improvement - takes too long to load even with my nice new broadband, and as for that horrible grey wallpaper........!!
