This forensic linguistics business could mean bullies who text would be more easily identified and that must be good news for some victims.

That's just like me Rachel! I use the predictive text and spell it all out - although my son had to show me how to the do the numbers as I was spelling them all out - LOL!!

Talking and writing are not the same thing.

Many writers use dialect writing to distinguish one character from another when writing dialogue in novels but it is not normal to use it on forums.

We don't usually alter our spellings to try to show our accents.

We can all be proud or otherwise of where we come from but it might be chaotic if we all did likewise.
