Hello TeddyWelshTwinkleToes. What is it about?

TeddyWelshGirl

TeddyWelshGirl Report 3 Dec 2008 20:20

It is about a childs experience mainly with social services and the "system" in the 70's 80's, which I could relate to, not normally my sort of book, I'm into John Grisham, but this one got me hooked.

Best book I have ever read - if you like history - is: "This thing of darkness" by Harry Thompson. His only novel. Relates the story of Charles Darwin and Robert FitzRoy. A brilliant read! Based on fact, too...

yeah a bit of a tear jerker, but also one of triumph and how he came to terms with his past, I found it funny in places, but that may be just me, my 15 year old daughter is reading it at the mo.

Trying to think of the John Grisham book I read in the summer, it was his first non-fiction book, and the lawyer who represented OJ Simpson in his first trial and also Louise Woodward, that was fantastic.
