Yesterday & today everything keeps freezing up on me!! Whats going on? Never happened before, anyone else experiencing this?

Snap! My computer keeps freezing up,not only on these boards but on Outlook express as well.
OH says it is the weather,but I think there is a problem with them installing the new cables to bring broadband to the more outlandish places in Wales.A lot here,a bit inland from me don't have it and still on dial up.

Yes i am getting the same problem, every thing keeps freezing up and its getting very annoying to say the least.

Touch wood mine is ok so far today.Yesterday and evening before pooter was terrible.

Yes happened to me. So much so it got defragged.

Have noticed that mine says www.flashtalking.com

I had to sign in twice today and then couldn't acccess the site because it froze

Came back a few minutes ago and got on without any problems

I have also had problems with Outlook express over the past couple of weeks

The only time my other wise OK PC freezes is on this site.

Wouldn't be GR's fault

Have imported a virus sharing stuff ?

Mine does it too but only when I am on GR.

In addition to the freezing up thing, my screen goes totally black and I can't do anything, not even to turn the computer off by the button on the tower. It just won't have it. I have to flick the switch at the wall socket and restart everything from scratch.

Also I get messages that my computer has recovered from a serious error.

All these things only happen when I am on GR, no other sites.

The Firefox browser with Adblock plus is a much more effective way of blocking adverts. It is a free download.

Flash talking is an adserver.

I read on another thread to come on to gr via gr za so that's what I have been doing last night and today, no silly ads all over the place and touch wood, plain sailing!

Mine has been the same for three days now but I couldn't see any mesages from other genes members about it so I thought it was only me, then like Liz I found a thread on another site about it yesterday.
It seems to be only in the mornings on mine though and ok later in the day.

There seems to be a lot of threads about this. I put one on myself a few days ago. Shame GR is not taking any notice of it and sorting it out. But then I would not expect anything better from them. Its never their fault after all.

Thanks for this mine is doing the same today, I am in the UK, will see if I can get onto the other site or try adblock with Firefox
