My auntie called her cat Snooty, as cats always are snooty. It would suit both a boy or a girl.

My first two cats at my own home were Lucy and Selena, but sadly I lost them both, one was poisoned we think, found dead after being missing for a day, and not long after her sister went missing, never to be seen again , just a few days before my baby daughter was born prematurely, they say cats can sense sad things happening. The day my daughter died, I kept hearing a cat crying outside but altho I searched everywhere I never found her.

My second two cats were Lucy and Selena again, but after a very naughty and noisy weekend a while later, when we realised our mistake, Selena became Toby lol Later on I was adopted by a little cat which I called Chloe, but don't think that will suit, eh Dawnie? My best mate at the time was called Chloe and I thought the cat would only stay a few days til I found the owner, except I never did and she stayed for 16 years till she died.

I like Tiger for a tabby,

The people next door adopted a stray cat from Blue Cross at Christmas time, he was tabby but they called him Noel.

Cat the other side was a tabby, always climbing so he was Bonnington (after Chris Bonnington) shortened to Bonnie.

My cat originally was Fluffy, until we found he was a boy and as he was so much like a bear, he got the name Teddy,

our tabby used to be Tiger but what about good old Fred. One thing to bare in mind is when you are calling the cat to come in from your back door you dont want to sound an idiot.

Hows about something different? Like Rover, Fido, Spot, Rex (Latin for King, apparently).

*creeps back on* Lissy, some advice, love: whatever you do call him, don't call him Midge. When we got our "Midge", he was barely 7 weeks old and abandoned; so tiny that we called him that. However, he's now a right porker! Sat beside my chair at this moment, too! It's like calling a dwarf "Rambo", lol.

Hi Gerri, you ok?

I had a Toby once, and my friend has a Purdie

Doesn't Lissy have a fave pop star she can name her kitten after? Hope she finds just the right name for him soon and has lots of fun with him.

Mouse?

My 'Mouse' died 3 years ago but she had two names. Mouse from me and 'Bubbles' from the other half.(stupid man!)

She answered to both....also the name 'FOOD'!

We now have two cats named 'Purdie' and 'Maggie'
They also answer to the name of 'DINNER' lol

My mother-in-law always called her cats Max.
I suppose it saved trying to remember a new one!

Our neighbours used to have a nice cat called Thompson (Tom Cat for short).

Tiger seems a popular name for tabbies. Our Tiger (now at Rainbow Bridge) was a tabby/white.
Our other tabby was little Lulu ......... :-))

Mind you, the name Tiger is common as m**k, lol.
