Lol........Lyndi , well my birds aren't ducks .....so they are free to be Blue Birds or Rainbow birds : )

I'm off now so maybe chat another night.....night night.

Oh yes lol, Hilda had ducks.
And, *whispers* ...... when I was married to a police oficer, we had a take on the ducks on our wall .........two policemen chasing a robber with his striped bag. Thankfully I lost custody of them in the divorce!!!

I haven't watched Corrie for years so painting a muriel sounds good to me....I believe there is cheep paint in Q.D. as well.............lol

Watch out Amanda --- once those birds get settled on your wall it's just a small step to painting a 'muriel' on your wall and changing your name to Hilda!

I'm really pleased because I bought a box of three birds for £1.99 ( should have been £ 10 ).....they are white and made of good quality plaster I think.....anyway , I got them so I could paint them ( Blue birds of Happiness , I thought as I gazed at the box )....they came up lovely with enamel paint , so I'll been back and bought another five boxes.......lol
I shall have a rainbow of beautiful birds when I've finished with them : )

Ann........if I wasn't so tied to my home and family I'd be looking up coaches to Cardiff at this very moment..........you are a dear Lady : )

Hello La Gooner...........looks like Q.D.are starting to spread there net wider then..........do you shop in there ?

Ann........that is very kind of you.........I had hoped to get to Wales this year but then things went wrong ( like they do.....lol ) so we never got there.
I'm paticularly interested in the Newport area and Barry...........one of these days I'll get to "walk the walk" down the ancestral paths........lol

Amanda - if you visit you can stay with me - more than welcome, I have plenty of room!!!

Oh lol - I was in Gorleston today.........at the Paget. I live and work in Caister.
I usually pop into QD when I go to the hairdressers in Gorleston.

I'm in smug mode because I got a good bargain in QD this week............lol

I'd like to visit Cardiff on of these days......not for the shopping.....it's the Land Of My Fathers : )

at the moment one secton of Cardiff city centre is undergoing a massive redevelopment - we are getting a John Lewis at last and apparently it's going to be the largest shopping mall in Europe!!!

Sue....Rosebys has just gone bust in the out-of-town shopping place near here.

We have a lot of charity shops too......but I love them and it's better than a shop sitting idle , if the charity shops folded I think most town centres would look grim.........lol

It's a while since I went there, but china was always good. Nearest QD is Gorleston.

I think so Lyndi........but Lathams has a much nicer selection of china / pottery : )

We've got a lot of charity shops.

Lots of rather sad empties though. In the past few weeks we've lost MFI, Rosbys and a little craft shop.
