So spooky, Deb, wonder if they will ever find out what really happened. Seems some of the feet have been matched with people presumably found dead elsewhere, it wasn't very clear in the report about how those people died or where.

did you hear the interviews today with the forensic scientist from Simon Fraser University?


She said that an NZ colleague had told her that they find around 15 shoes and feet a YEAR washing up on NZ shores.


The forensic experts are considering it "not surprising" as so many people are lost "at sea" ........ falling off boats, boat wrecks, plane wrecks, and "jumpers".

Still find it weird, though it make sense that runners would be buoyant and could rise to the surface after disarticulation from the leg. Sad way to go, sad for the families, the mighty sea holds many secrets.
