We decided to visit Westonbirt Arboretum today, fine when we left home then as we got to Stroud the mist came down, it got gradually thicker and by the time we got to Westonbirt it was really thick but there were already loads of cars there. We still went in and went straight and had a coffee in the cafe. walking among the trees it was slightly misty but almost clear (now 11am). the colours were lovely. Went back to the car and had lunch and by 1.30 when we walked back in for another look to take more photos the sun was shining and there was bright blue sky so it was lovely and the colours were even better. We left at 2.15 and cars were still streaming in so it would have been really crowded. Worth going though.

Hello Linda........so pleased you got your day out after all and that you have an excellent time......it sounds lovely.

I've only been to the New Forest once , about 13 years ago , camping with the kids........we call it the holiday from hell when we reminisce about it..........lol
It is a beautiful area : )

Hi All
Did get to The New Forest and it was patchy all the way down, but cleared once there.
We had a lovely day a picnic by water, watching a young man fishing............. he didn't catch anything !!
Then into Romsey and round the Abbey, where my Mother in law was christened. We try to pop in as often as we can and always see something new.

Hope you all have a pleasant evening

Linda :o)

The fog has finally cleared off and oh gave up the idea of sailing for today......it took it's time about clearing up.

We have been walking the dogs in the country side, I took my camera ( as I do on most walks ) I managed to get some beautiful pics of mist spangled spider webs amoungst the stems of plants.

Glad your having a lovely Autumn day in Scotland Joan.
I hope you're all enjoying the day : )

It was very misty here in Southampton this morning, but lovely blue sky now.

The ships fog horns could be heard, so it must have been misty at sea as well.
