I loved Rhydian as well but he did not make as good a job of the final song which is why I thought Leon won.
I hated the Spanish woman tonight, I just don't like the mixture of the languages.
Take my breath away is one of my favourite songs and I hated her version of it.

As you can tell I think Rhydian belonged in Opera not as a Pop star!

Rhydian is releasing an album soon and I think he has a great voice. I have heard Leon's new single on the radio a couple of times and really like it.
I also loved Keith Jack who was the runner up in any dream will do, he has an album out just now which I am going to buy soon.

It's been playing on radio all this week Chelsea Pink. He'll be singing it on the 10pm results show tonight.

I agree with you that Rhydian is not a pop singer - I just think he was a better singer than Leon.

I'm sure I read somewhere a few years ago that all the contestants have to sign contracts to say that they won't sign up to any recording contracts etc for 1 year after the shows.......gives the winner time to get their single out and on the ladder to fame.

Well...I got the 1st part completely wrong!!

Bad Lashes to go after just hearing them.... awful

I thought the the girl bands were the worse acts and I think that many others must have agreed with me.
In the sing off I thought that they both did really badly but thought that Bad Lashes were marginally better than Girl Band. I did think though that the family group that Lewis sent home were better than either of the girl groups he chose but as I said before what do I know about music.

Me and OH just had a discussion and both of us were in agreement (not often that happens) that really the XFactor is a kiss of death for most careers!!

There are only a handful of people who have succeeded since doing these programmes....Girls Aloud, Will Young!

Take that back....not even a handful..lol

Seems like the XFactor, Pop Idol and others have been like a kiss of death to these artistes

Just to update u all on what I've been up 2 recently. After I finished recording in America n Denmark I went straight to Asia for a tour. It was part of a growing idea which has been quite successful in America formed by Hennessey and the music industry. Title: THE GLOBAL ARTOF MIXING. It's about bringing different artists from around the world together: one stage, high class one-off shows. Wow. Loved it. I started off in Hong Kong then onto Taipai in Taiwan then flew across to Kuala Lumpur and finished off in Vietnam. Check out YouTube, and u may be able to see fans’ videos of my shows. I have a few more shows before the year is out so I would love 2 see u all there. Check out my page to get the dates.

If you google Steve Brookstein you will see he has been quite busy and is at present touring with 'Our House' which is a musical about Madness?

Rhydian is recording an album at the moment. It can't be released until a specified time after the winner releases their first album, it is part of the contract.

Leon has just released his first single since his Christmas hit, and his first album is out next month.

I didn't like watching him last night... he looked ill I thought, and all that jerking... I did wonder if he was on something. He also went flat a couple of times... and his timing was out more than once, too..... I don't think it was lack of talent, but do feel he is feeling the strain.

The winners have tended to bring their debut album out about a year after they have won, to make sure it is right... a couple of the early ones were rushed out, I think, and flopped as a result.

I hated Bad Lashes...

I think that there is a very strong line-up this year, and much more interesting as a result.

Daff, I too thought there was something wrong with Leon, alth the compere said he had filled out, I thought he looked thinner and very agitated. He did say he found it nervewracking but even so, I didn't enjoy watching him perform.

I like Austin, he reminds me of Lee Ryan from Blue. Don't like what they've done to his hair though.

I agree that Leon actually didn't sound as good as he did a year ago, he's grown taller but skinnier and god knows what was with the jerking although I wonder if that's to do with a really poor choreographer (reminds me of Will Young when he first started, dad and I used to count how many times he would bend his knees in that sort of dip...noticed some of the girls doing it tonight...guaranteed to annoy me)

No idea what Simon was thinking with Scott's song choice. Not sure I like Rachel's attitude or Ruth's style of singing. I think Laura is really quirky. Can't remember the name of the blonde girl but I adore her originality.
