Hi Everyone :):)

When time becomes a little stressful or things just dont seem right I like to spend a little time generally by myself chilling out.

Often this might include just sitting back listening to some soft relaxing music and drifting off into a relaxed state where I can be alone with my thoughts. Other times it could be heading off to the local beach or shores, more so if it is a rough windy day with the wind blowing in my face, I am starting to feel relaxed just thinking about it :):)

How do you chill out

I get in the bath with a book or magazine and keep running the hot water, always manage to get my book a bit damp though, could someone invent waterproof books!!!

I used to do hand washing of clothes.
As I squished and squeezed, any pent up feelings were used getting the clothes clean. When finished, I'd pull out the sink plug and let all the 'feelings' go down the drain.

Now I would usually go for a walk, - country or shore, but am lucky to have a reasonable life and don't get easily stressed.

Hi Barbara, Hi Gwyn :):)

Barbara :) Sounds like heaven to me :)

Gwyn :) I can imagine how that squidging and squeezing works to, Mind you I can only imagine :) If I was to try it my wife would have me doing the washing all the time :)

CHILL OUT, CHILL OUT - WHATS THAT!! LOLOL

Do I seem a bit stressed pmsl.

When I could get into a bath it was a lovely hot bath full of bubbles. These days if I am doing cross stitch tend to be concentrating so much on that, that I find it relaxing as I cannot think of anything else but "in one and out one" lol

Hello Gwyn

It's funny, you saying that, I like to hand wash clothes too, I prefer to hand wash my tops and then hang them on hangers on the line, they always stay newer for longer.

Hi Tina :):)

Ive never seen her do that one, Yet that is, just the image of it makes you think of how complicated it might be :)

Here is a few of Hayleys that she has completed in the past, these ones she kept around the house :)

Hi Jean :):)

I could just see myself sitting out on the moors chilling out to. Although I dont ride I can see how peaceful it must be for you :):)

Harpstrings Report 8 Oct 2008 12:33

All I can see is me with my legs being flung up and down bouncing around and the reins all over the place and being thwacked by branch trees. LOL

Jean thats wonderful to be able to ride a horse. Unfortunately they and me have never got on, had a bad experience on the beach with donkey once and vowed never to get on another one. lol

Colin, thank you for sharing that. Serious respect for OH they are brilliant. My neighbour across the road is a serious cross stitcher and loves cats & big cats and she has quite a few framed and hanging up. I especially like the two white wolves? and the pack in the moonlight brilliant.

Hayley is very talented indeed - love the canal boat artwork.

I am still doing the Millenium Sampler some 8 years on lol.

Ann of GG you have a very dirty mind! lol

I will expand the story - my donkey insisted in running off into the sea while all the other little darlinks on their well behaved donkeys looked on laughing! lol

LOL Colin, I would have quite understood what you meant. Does Hayley do watercolour painting by any chance or acrylics?

Colin from Hampshire

Colin from Hampshire Report 8 Oct 2008 12:54

Tina :):)

The ones you see are done in acrylics, they are then sprayed over with protective car laquer to go outside.
