I am going to leave this before I go and watch TV for a bit.

Once again I come onto GR and see people suspended, obviously further disruptions and or disagreements, When will that end.

The answer lies and stays the responsibility of everyone who uses the General and Chat Boards. That means me and you.

We are all members here who at one time were a community of people who enjoyed the site and spent more time chatting away then looking to see what the next bit of bother is.

No one is bigger or better then the next, it doesnt matter how long we have been here or how popular a person becomes we are still members of a community with a right to enjoy the site for what it can be.

Those popular members and long servers should be setting examples and wanting the site back to at least a reasonable fun board.

My fairness says I dont care if a person is my friend or foe. I tell it as it is and at this moment in time Im saddened by what I see on here. No Im not leaving, Im not going anywhere.

All I ask is take a look around you, see what damage petty squabbling and diliberate goading and veiled comments are doing to the site, People being reported for the least little thing just to be vindictive or settle a grudge. Thats whats happening by the look of things to me.

For petes sake, start avoiding each other rather then continuing the nonsense and bring the site back up rather then down any further then it is at the moment.

Its our site after all. We dont want to lose it, or do we.

I always seem to miss it Colin for which I am grateful - it is sad when we all have a mutual interest but on this earth there are always people who will 'cause a row in an empty house' just for the sake of it. If you see something developing stay away.

I aint bin doing this long but i've been on one thread where someone got nasty but i missed it and when i came back to the thread all of their posts had been deleted, but eveyone said it was nasty

I have to say though, that I tend to miss most of the nastiness on here anyway. Don't know whether I'm not about when it's happening, or I'm too daft to notice it...lol...

It only takes one venomous post in a jolly thread to turn it nasty. The instigator leaves immediately and sits back waiting for the inevitable responses and then the opportunity to press the review button is presented to them.

I have been a member for a number of years and, as I am sure you know, this has been going on almost from day one.

Why? Because we are human and we all behave in different ways as we do in every day life. Frankly, we can't expect people to start behaving in, what for them, is an abnormal way just because thay happen to share the same interests.

Sad, I know, but a fact of life.

Personally I just let those who want to have a row or goad others into having one, to it. Its up to them and its up to the rest of us if we want to get involved.

I sometimes amuse myself reading what has been said and by whom. Its amazing how the smallest thing becomes so major. Its even more amazing how so many people jump aboard to "defend" their friends and in doing so keep the row going AND bringing even more people into it.Its self perpetuating!

I suggest those that dont like them should just avoid the rows or sit back and enjoy the show.

Btw I have no idea what has been going on of late as I have been too busy getting on with life.

I know what you mean Sue. Unfortunately some people have nothing better to do. Can't for the life of me understand what they get out of it either.

Like I said, I usually miss it anyway, so it's wasted on me. I'm probably playing games on Facebook instead...lol... (exciting life I lead eh?)

Seems I'm not alone !!

It's really sad to see the way this board has gone downhill lately, so many people disappearing by getting banned or falling out with folk, or getting fed up with the unpleasantness here.

We are all equal in our right to post and respond but there is no need to be spiteful and unkind. There is still a lot of love and support goes on behind the scenes a lot of the time, and it would be great if it could be the same on the threads.

I too miss out on most of the aggro and have no idea who has been whooshed or banned. It gets very lonely on my own at nights now - come back all the night owls lol
