This knowing everyone's business is a bit of a pain. People see things and pass them on to a little group of people (expats) who meet every Sunday for a coffee, and if you don't go, well you're not in the in crowd. I can't believe that people behave like that, for heavens sake most of them are 60+.

It is a human trait..anyone that says they do not gossip..are fibbers..Sometimes its a case of other peoples lives are more intersting than their own..

...then it would be `them` that feels silly..see the error of their ways..

Mmmm Rosalind...everyone knows each others business..that would do my head in..In that instance..I would do something silly..( like get a special newspaper printed..there are sites that do this..print pics..`pretend` stories..& put them in the local newsagent!!..tongue in cheek approach!)..People would gossip about something that isn`t real..that is what I call ironic.

Ophelia, I agree, but my head is so messed up at the moment it doesn't take much to upset me. Once they have had their fill out of my life they will move on to someone else. One day, hopefully, it will be them.

I do the planning, but know if I go further the belittling would go on, unfortunately living on a small island brings with it small island mentality and some folks have nothing better to do than gossip about other peoples lives and spread around false information.

I used to waste a lot of energy thinking up ways of avenging people who had hurt me. One day I realised that life has a way of biting them in the bum without me lifting a finger.!
Just be patient, sit back and wait and let it all happen!

I used to do the revenge thing or plot revenges but never follow them through, but now I just lick me wounds for a bit dust meself off and make my life as good as possible, though it is nice to let them watch you enjoying your life and having fun haha

Yes, my mum did the old 'prawns sown into the lining of clothes' when she split from her ex - Hilarious to think of him wondering where the smell was comming from.....
What i have done isn't physical, someone playued with my head so i did it right back, just feel a little guilty now....i believe sometimes we make our own Karma..

...I mean..I like the stories you hear when someone has planted cress seeds on carpets..water them..leave them for a few days..(harmless)..but cutting up designer clothes..pouring paint over expensive cars..not my thing..Karma Karma Karma!

Why bother with revenge? contend yourself with believing the person concerned is a right plonker and that doubtless everyone else thinks so too.

Waste of energy thinking of revenge - sit back and wait, they will get their's eventually!

...I agree Daff..I believe in Karma...what goes around comes around...sometimes..fate..sorts it out for you..

In my humble opinion...It very much depends on what someone has done to me..(ie..if they belittled me..if there was a maliciouness in an action towards me..these would be triggers..for me to react..)..I would not contemplate hurting anyone..but sometimes..being subtle in seeking revenge would be my option. I don`t go out of my way to seek revenge..I think being ironic with revenge is the best!..lol

I don't *do* revenge... I whinge and whine, rant and rave.... and then sit back and wait for the karma... cos I really believe that what goes round, comes round. Good enough for me.
