A new google browser called Chrome?

Just read an article in the Telegraph,and it says that in tests on screen it was 3 times faster than Firefox and 12 times as quick as IE.

visit.......google.com/chrome and have a look.
I haven't yet but will have a go later.

Yeh I was sent the link for it yesterday so have been using it since last night, it does seem quicker even on fb which I often have problems on.

It says when you install it that it is just a basic version at the mo but will be updated with more tools etc

I have Internet Explorer.... but it can be a pain at times... how do you change from one to another??? Without killing my puter.. I have Vista???

Daff if you download it you will still be able to use internet explorer if you dont get on with it, cos as I said its very basic at the mo.

When you download it a short cut will come up on your pc so instead of opening internet explorer like you normally would you open chrome instead, it has saved all my bookmarks from internet explorer too so i havent lost anything and I dont have to re add them all which is cool.

I have vista too and chrome seems to be working ok with it.

Chrome was built with vista in mind lol, and yes its still the beta build, but even that has some advanced bits and bobs lol

My Kaspersky has just screamed like a banshee..... it has said that Chrome is behaving like a hoodlum (oh, ok then, a Trojan)

I have quarantined it until I find out more.....

lol Steve, thanks for that... I will now go and retrieve Chrome from quarantine... it might never ever forgive me, you know!! It might start a claim for compensation for false imprisonment and user brutality!!

Then I will go and mess around with Linux on my laptop... someone *helped* me with my laptop, and now I can't do a thing with it, lol ... a friend's hubby a few months ago.... I think he might have set a firewall that I don't know about.... or at least that is what someone else has suggested.

*sighs* This is all such a puzzle, isn't it?

Morning all :-)

I downloaded chromed onto my pc last night....not too sure about it yet but will use it from time to time and see how it goes. This morning I downloaded Firefox onto my laptop and will try that out and see which browser I prefer overall.

Must admit with the google one my menu bar/google bar disappeared which put me off a bit.

Oh ive found something thats bugging me with this chrome thingy!

It has a spell check thing on it and when I type all me slang and my version of spelling things it puts little red wiggly lines under everything!!

see even thats telling me im thick when I do know how to spell proper I just chose not to pmsl

Chrome dont have any tool bars as yet but it will have soon, but it is faster to load and run sites due to the fact each tab runs on its own bit of memory

FF is also good as well

lol Jax... well. I have just played with it... and it is now telling me that I have *error 4* lol.... I don't do anything the easy way, at all, lol!!
