i ws thinking that coz iv just done a search on here and cant find nothing in my area altho there is a wnderful sight that has new born cute babies

Stray, was reading about hedgehogs the other day, someone in our area is rearing some babies whose mother got run over.

On no account must you give them fishy type cat food, only meaty stuff, and no milk either. You could google for hedgehog rescue places in your area and ask them to come if it is still around but hopefully it will be ok, if it scuttled off to shelter when the strimmer started , it can't be too poorly.
We would love one or two here, to keep the slugs and snails down.

They are cute wee things. My cousin used to rescue them.she had to feed the babies every few hours. she would keep them till big enough to survive on their own ie right weight etc.

Are there any allotments or meadows near you...............even a park would do if it is old enough to feed itself.

put some garlic and chips down for it

and all its fleas will emigrate

iv googled hun and cant find anything

we have a hugeee park not far from us and woodlnd beck so will see if the little tiddler returns tomorow and go from there

hopefully he will stop visiting during the day

altho when i get up close to it it i cant see no fleas hopping about so thats a good thing ...altho there probly all hiding from me lol

Stray, it will save you having runny hedgehog poo all over the place lol makes them poorly if not meat.

TInned cat or dog food and water is enough, although normally only sick hedgehogs are out during the day, and yes your cat can catch fleas from hedgehog but you must never put flea treatment on them. that's correct about not de-fleaing them - many moons ago when I was a child we found a litter of baby hedgehogs - we thought we'd deflea them and sadly they all died - fleas are part of their ecology apparently

urg fleas are foul lol

i wonder if every hedgehog has fleas then lol cant be very nice for them
