*hangs head in shame* I said *obey* lol!!

I was a biddable 17 year old... I didn't realise you didn't have to say it, lololol

When we renewed, I didn't..... but as we had already been married 28 years at that point, and I had broken that particular vow on a very regular basis, I did wonder whether to keep it in, just so I could feel like a rebel every time I broke it, lolol

In 1967 I said I'd obey... I lied.

Still married and still not obeying.

1960, I didn't promise to obey, that was quite unusual then. Just as well as I have no promise to break!!

I honestly cannot remember if I did say "obey", as I was totally convinced I had left the price of my shoes on the sole of the satin beggers that were pinching me toes, and was concentrating on that at the time! )))))

Just asked hubbie, and he says "no I didnt -cos I had no intention of keeping that vow, so why say it in the first place"!!

He knows me so well! lol

Great to hear the wedding stories, so funny......mine all went to plan, so nothing to tell.....

Did say obey though, a bit traditional like that......but I was, and always will be my own person......lol...

Jac....that reminded me......going through my Mum's things 12 years ago I found a brown paper bag, and inside the white satin stilletos I wore,in 1965...
