When GB host the 2012 Olympics in London, Europe want all European Countries to compete under one flag as a unified Europe!!!
They want Team GB to hand over their medals so that they can go on show in Nicholas Sarkozys' ofice . What do you think of that?

I thought it was NATO that they wanted to compete as, so as to include the USA?

Is there a plot to get rid of Great Britain.....

they can shove off!!! next time I would like to see Team Wales, England, Scotland and Ireland!!

Not for me Ann.... I love the United Kingdom angle, and the way we can show the world how we all pull together when necessary, whilst still maintaining our individual national identities.

I am very very proud of being Welsh... and just as proud of my Britishness.

However.... I would be tamping mad if we are annexed any further by Europe... I am tamping mad about the level of interference our esteemed politicians have already given away..... he Great British public will be able to fight this only as a whole, not fragmented.

And I loathe the way Nationalistic thugs Plaid Cymru have turned me into a foreigner in my own city and country.... I want no more of that, at all.

I have never figured out why it isnt just as individuals as opposed to countries. It would do away with which government gives more money to their teams, thereby allowing the smaller and third world countries to compete on a level field.

Hands off team GB. Just because we have beaten all the other european countries. Don't think our competitors would like it either, they are proud to represent Great Britain.

That would do away with all the sponsorship and resulting advertising kudos, Eldrick... and bring the Olympics right back to true amateur status.........

And of course the glory would be with the athlete not with the country..... no no no!! Can't see that happening, lololol

Interesting to note that Mr Charles Kennedy is one of the members of the UK branch of this group.... which has amongst it's ranks other UK mep's.... mmmmm!!

And funded by the EU.... it does at the very least raise questions about the use of EU money!!

Why would France, Germany Spain Italy, Poland, Holland, Greece, Rumania, Latvia, Netherlands, Denmark, Lithuania, Estonia, Malta, Check Republic, Ireland Slovakia, Slovania, Hungry, Bulgaria,Luxemberg, Belgium, Cypruss, Austria, and Sweden, with their own proud traditions and there equal pride in both flag and team, want thiers to vanish under the EU flag Think this is another of those "Europe" rumours where Europe is not a collection of proud independent counrties but some mysterios thing that wants to gobble up only the British
Why instead of grumbling amongst yourselves ask the Danes, or Netherlanders, or Swedes what they think of the idea. You will find they are just as against it as any British person!!!!!!!!!
And their teams also won medals in Beijung

Can you imagine the uproar from every single country if they handed over their national pride.

And what about the European Competitions..............errrrrrrrrr, how would the medals be given

The European cup winners cup would go to ...........the Euroteam, as would the runners-up medals! LOL
