I had been so looking forward to using our holiday home this summer. Last year was a dead loss and so far this ummer has been miserable too.

Our static caravan is just across the Bristol Channel from Cardiff and it's been so wet for weeks that we have stayed at home. It's not far away (about 45 minutes drive away) but what's the point of sitting in a caravan in the rain?

I've not sat out in our garden at home for weeks and we haven't had one balmy evening with all doors and windows open and eating a BBQ outside.

I belong to a forum with mainly US members and they've been moaning about how hot it has been for weeks.

What has happened to our summers?

sorry you missed the Rhondda this time Sharron - think something is on the way - I have locked my cat in - he keeps coming in looking like a punk rocker - and now he's gone barmy - running all over the house, up and down the stairs etc.

Blinky cold down here in Somerset too - have had the heating on most evenings this week and it has been on all day today - wind direction here is north.

Sharron Report 16 Aug 2008 18:00

We came down to Bridgend last Wednesday to get other half a suit at Derwen. The weather was so awful that I didn't even go for my fix of the Rhondda.

Have felt deprived ever since.

We have to go to Bristol on Thursday for his interview. I hope it is better then. And for the Reading one on Friday.
