OMG............They're everywhere. I can't open my windows or doors. Hate the buggers. They are aggressive, sneaky and they sting.

What's the purpose of them. I mean where do they come in the food chain?? Spiders eat flies and flies eat s**t. I don't like spiders either but I can see their purpose. Birds eat spiders and flies. Cats eat birds. What eats wasps ??

Heard on the radio that there will be far more wasps this year than other years, due to the mild spring.I hate them too, especially at this time of the year, when they just sting you without reason, i.e, waving your arms around to swat them.Love bees though, I can watch them for ages, the sound they make reminds me so much of summer days as a child.Where one of my daughters used to live, they had enormous swarms of those monster-sized Hornets. Now THEY scared the c..p out of all of us.Very difficult to kill too.

I love bees too Claddagh and never kill one. I fact I have fed bees honey when I have found them out of fuel. They are so clever and they make honey. They have a purpose.

I hate ants too Hazel. Some years ago, when I had a carpet, I was sitting late at night watching TV when I thought I say the carpet move under a chair in the corner of the room. I went to investigate to find at least 100 ants flapping their wings. I screamed so loud that OH jumped out of bed and came running. He wasn't impressed. I spend the next hour with the vacum cleaner as some of them started flying about when I disturbed them. Yuuuck

Still don't know ...........what eats ants???

Heather, if you love bees, as I do, you would love the enormous black ones you see in the mediterranean countries. They are such peace-loving creatures, don't sting, at least, the males don't.The females only do when REALLY provoked. The evil hornets in Burgandy, where my daughter used to live, were like something out of a horror movie. When it started to get dark, they were drawn to the lights outside their house, and even managed to get inside. The noise they make is incredible! Now they live in Brittany, so have no more probs. with these 'nasties'.
