Purple **^*Sparkly*^** Diamond

Purple **^*Sparkly*^** Diamond Report 9 Aug 2008 02:47

I saw some of it while getting ready to go out Friday lunchtime and thought as others have, that we won't be able to top that.
I did think tho that the cost of all that pzazz would have fed a huge amount of people in any country for quite a while, and rehoused those who had lost their homes for the preparation for the games.

It all stinks of oneupmanship and this country will be no better, can't fund essential drugs for people with Alzheimers and cancer but can find millions to host the games. Yes ok, it will bring money into the country as the current games will give money to China, but only the well off will benefit, not the really poor folk.
All wrong, in my opinion.

There was a comic on TV t'other night & she said about a girl in a supermarket trying to get her Mum to buy her chocolate & she was v.plump-wearing a T-shirt with "Princess" on it,the comic said it should've been "Principality",anyway the Mum refused 'cause the choc had fruit in it so she wouldn't eat it-just about say's it all!

I never watch the Olympics.... only the opening and closing ceremonies.
And this was *Second to None*... it was an amazing display.

I have my political views too and they are not friendly towards China... but this cannot be denied... they did themselves proud.

Boycyying it and it is killing me as i love the athletics. I do not believe China should have been allowed to host them. I know my token stand will not change a thing but it is a matter of principle.
No hard feelings for anyone else enjoying them .
