it makes me so sad when there are treatments known to work and they tell us that they are not coct effective,
these are peoples lives they are talking about i dont care how much it costs they should be able to haveit
if the polititions took a drop in wages and expenses then we could afford it

Not personally, but I do need drugs for breast cancer.
I was lucky, as I was one of the early women to have Herceptin. Luckily my local Health Board has one of the best Breast Cancer Units. So I can understand the patients feelings of what basically boils down to 'neglect' in my eyes.

Just my personal opinion.

totaly agree with you vods about them not working its idiots like us who have worked all our lives who are paying for them, it weally p""""" me of
that poor woman from salford who took her case to the high court and still the ptc refused her the drug sutent, she has had a very generous person donate 10.000 pounds so she can now receive this drug but what a worry for her at a time when she is terminaly ill makes me so angry

Think is's a disgrace. These people have paid there taxes and have a right to free health care. What the health service need to do is get rid of a few of there useless managers that would be more cost effective than someone losing there life.I would not be happy to hear that if it was one of my relatives.

The thing that never ceases to puzzle me on this sort of question is why do the drug companies create drugs that cost such a massive amount ?....what are these drugs made out of that they end up with an unrealistic price tag on them ?

thousands of people donate money to cancer research........drugs are created in due course yet the price ?......what is the point ?

Quite Jackie. But this happens with a lot of life saving drugs.

It angers me when I see the junkies getting their methadone given out to them in the chemist.
How many of them have ever worked an honest day in their lives?

think it is disgraceful they give methadone and needles to drug addicts, but wont give these drugs to cancer patients.
SHAME ON THEM
