I suffer from psoriasis and have tried many products over the years. The best I have used to date for my scalp is Exorex, contains mild polytar. They make a shampoo but I use the lotion direct onto my scalp. It doesn't leave my hair greasy and I leave it on between shampoos. It's available on prescription, free here in Wales, but can be bought over the chemist's counter. |

Julie Ann, mentioned about cradle cap and my eldest had that as a baby. Mil told me to wet the hair, put on some bicarb of soda rub it in and massage for a few minutes then use baby shampoo and wash it off. I tried it and it worked a treat, everytime it flaired up, I would use that and it would clear within a couple of days. |

I get Capisal from the Drs, also Capisal lotion, as I get great patches or flake in my scalp. I am also using Simple shampoo at the moment, but this makes hair quite fly away. Jean |

Several years ago,my brother had to go to a Trichologist? (sp) as he was having problems with his hair and he was told to stop using Head and Shoulders as it causes the skin flakes to build up on the scalp, i.e. it sticks them to the scalp rather than letting them go. |

I get this from time to time and have used the cheaper equivalent of Nizoral this week, as that is what the chemist gave me when I took my prescription in. It hasn't worked so well as before but has relieved the itching, scalp still a bit flaky tho. I think a lot of it is down to stress and the state of your health, I have been feeling very low and tired this week. Will have another go tomorrow, I have to wash my hair every other day or even every day if I am going out, as it is so thin and fine and looks awful if not newly washed. |

have you tried Nizoral shampoo? My OH gets itchy head and uses that. Head& Shoulders always works for me. |

Head and shoulders gives me dandruff big time. Anything with Lavendar makes me itch and tea tree products give me flaky scalp. I'vre been using the Boots own brand anti dandruff with conditioner which works a treat. |
