Caz glad to hear the progress is good for the injured soldier.
I live in 2 Para's home town , my sons godfather is still out in Afghan, i pray every day for the safe reurn of all the folks out there. my eldest son is a royal Engineer and could be called out to Afghan at any time. my thoughts and prayers are with all the suffering families.
My 14 year old who is in Army Cadets took a card and flowers down to the camp gates during parade last week and the Para on gate duty saluted him and told him how beautiful it was that even the youngsters were showing their respect and thanks to his fallen colleagues.

I was away when this happened Caz and immediately thought of you and also of a young friend whose officer husband is due to go soon.

I am so glad for his family that J is home safe and pray that it wont be long before his brother is home. How terrible to have two sons there or in Iraq. I have said it before: - Bring them all home, we are not going to win in Afghanistan, we are so out numbered, and ill equipped. Bless all the lads and lassies who are doing their best with poor equipment but BRING THEM HOME!!

Special positive thoughts for this chap and his family who must be in bits, waiting to get him home and well again, altho he will never be the same person who went out to Afghanistan.
I feel so sad for all those families who have lost their loved ones, men and women, when you see the pictures on tv, some of them are so young .. no time to have lived their lives.
And now even more troops are to be sent out there, after Bush's visit to UK that announcement came, what pressure did he put on Gordon Brown to let that happen?

I think I saw something trailing a programme about the Helmand province and our troops there, coming next week but not sure what channel it is on.

Sadly, there will be many more families grieving before this long battle ends.
