Black or white furry 'bonnets', I had a white one.

Blue quilted anoraks.

Reefer jackets.

Palest Pink lipstick.

Jackie, Fabulous, Bunty, does anyone else remember Intro mag, it was only published for a few months and then it folded. It was huge, about the size of a broadsheet newspaper.

Got married in 1960, daughter born late 61, son born 67. Did have a maxi skirt, couldn't afford a maxi coat. did have hot pants otherwise fashion more or less passed me by. A happy time for us though with the young family. plus we were fostering then too. End of the sixties I had a trouser suit, when they first came in it was trousers and a tunic top.

Yardley's Pink Magic lipstick which made you look as if you had serious heart problems or circulation problems

My sister had a gondola basket - Mum used to go mental cos she always left in the hall for people to trip over - she also wore black tights with white shoes!!!

Oh Ann - just come back on the thread. I remember gondola baskets. I had one that I took my cookery ingredients to school in. One day I put in on the ground whilst I waited for the bus and when I unpacked it in the cookery lesson the biggest spider jumped out. The whole of the class ran out of the classroom with the cookery teacher chasing after us shouting "What about your ovens girls"!! Those were the days

Proper cookery lessons! I learned to make peppermint creams, melting moments and welsh cheesecakes. One class made bubble and squeak. There's food you eat daily!
The bit we all liked best was when we had to tidy the cookery cupboard.Yeh? I wonder if she ever knew why there were never any cherries or currants in there. Things got a bit tighter when one of the girls thought she might just have a fag while she was at it.
This was a grammar school too!
