i left work at 2.30 - told boss i couldn't manage anymore today & i was going

he said 'have you ACTUALLY broken your wrist?'

w said 'i don't know for sure, find out Fri but i have a cast on my hand and that;s bad enough regardless;'

Maggy - no i wouldn't get bored at home lol i only went in cos the work wont get done otherwise, well not all of it and not properly!

I have to agree with Susan about the insurance cover and working.

We had a guy in our place who went to work with an arm in plaster and he was told to leave immedately as they were not covered.

I hope you are reading this at home!!!

Diana has got a point McAnne. Can't you go to your boss and see if they can come to some arrangement for you? Failing that, get a sick note!!

Must tell you though, my son has broke his leg and is bored silly because he can't get out of the house. Would you be bored if you had to stay at home?

PinkDiana Report 9 Jun 2008 12:18

Personally I would work reduced hours and tell them its too much for you to do a full day!!

Think you are a real trouper going to work. I broke my left upper arm last Sep, and know what the pain is like. Luckily I am retired, just thought wonder what I would have done if I had still been at work.
Seems to me the more you do, the more they expect from you.
Tell them you cant do much, as some of the ones used to in my office.
Do hope you will feel better soon
