Personally I think Fern is lovely what eversize she is ....her smile lights up you TV screen..but did she preach about healthy eatting and excerise ? Why is this op so frowned upon.? If she or anyone else is happy being that size so what ....

I think she is fantastic... and the weight might have started to come off with the gastric thingy, but all the toning that followed was from hard work, cycling and healthy eating... she certainly didn't just sit there and let the band do all the work... it just gave her the boost she needed to get started!

I think the problem was Hayley, that she denied having a gastric band fitted and claimed it was done with healthy eating and bike riding.....

I think everyone should just leave her alone. up until this last weekend no one had asked her about surgery. Her agent denied it & Fern said yes she had had it done.
A gastric band alone will not cure a persons weight problem. They DO still need to eat healthily & exercise so I don't see how the papers can call her a liar. It is still her hard work that is making the weight come off. Even if a person has a band fitted it doesn't mean they will lose weight no matter what. I know someone that actually continued to put on weight after having a band fitted.

As I said ...,she is lovely with the weight on or off...I hate the media....think they are a lot "£$T^^&**((n so..I do agree but cant understand why the op is so frown upon.

I know if I could afford it, I would have it done....

Anne Diamond had the band done and she put weight on beacause she did not have the willpower to stick to diet, well done to Fern for having the commitment.
