I have just copied a video clip from my camera onto PC, now I'm trying to email it but it won't let me. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Probably best one you can 'look' for is Errol.

Eldrick

Eldrick Report 1 Jun 2008 01:20

what format or file extension is the clip and how big is it?

agingrocker

agingrocker Report 1 Jun 2008 01:24

Hi Eldrick,

It's 55.7 mb, or just over a minute long, depending what you mean by how big it is. As for the format - how do I tell?

I would imagine that the size exceeds the permitted limit for your email programme.

All I can suggest is use an editing programme to reduce it to 'emailable'size.

If you can get hold of Roxio, it has that facility. Im not suree about windows movie maker.

Try saving it as an mpeg 4 file if you get the option, which is the format the mobile phones use.

Thanks Eldrick, sorry to waste your time but I have just read there is a limit of 20 mb. Very disappointing. Thanks for your help.

20Meg is a BIG file for emailing - try sharing it via online storage instead

Morning Wild Cat... had to get up to feed the bosses, lol!! 5 starving felines staring fixedly at you is an excellent alarm clock!!

It's strange, but according to puter literate son, I can do some quite advanced stuff, as long as I have made dozens of mistakes trying to do it, lol... I am absolutely no good when techno speak starts... I glaze over.... and I cannot make head nor tail of the driving manuals, lol!
But then some very basic stuff... I haven't a clue on!
