Looking around our living room we have 3 watercolour paintings with scenes of Indian life. My husband's grandfather was an engineer in India and in the 1920s he commissioned students at the Bombay Art college to do a number of paintings to remind him of his time there. My husband inherited those plus a big painting of the bungalow in India where his mother was born. |

In my lounge.......Photos of my kids, my wedding photo (people ask who it is) !! A handmade slate mirror that my Mum gave me one Christmas. A water-colour painting which I bought.....love it 'cause it has water and trees. Finally, I have a slate wall-hanging that I treasure. A friend gave me after her mother had been ill and died. It reads as follows: |

I have photos of the kids at various ages, a photo of me and OH dressed up Victorian and a print of a woodland clearing in the snow with a little dear stood there. We bought it with some money we got as a wedding pressy and I love it -it's very calming and when I'm hot I could just jump into it to cool down |

In my dining room where I'm sitting I have our wedding photo, and family photo taken at Butlins in 1995 behind me (me, hubby and both kids). I have my silver wedding photo at the right and above it a flower tapestry that I did years ago. Above the computer in front of me I have a big family tree poster. |

On the walls I have a beautiful painting by my daughter of Glastonbury Tor, and a lovely cross-stitch picture, by my best friend, of a kitten on a branch with a full moon behind it - which lights up the tips of the kittens fur. |

Going to share a special picture with you, painted by my Son Stephen, who was fantastic at art, but had no career interest in it. At the foot of my stairs, I have in a mahogony frame, a picture of a vase of flowers, signed by my Son, to Mum, with love, I will treasure that picture forever.XX.. |
