Was watching child of our time earlier and noticed that one of the familys had clingfilm on all the dining room chairs......

Now maybe I am a very poor housekeeper...........but could you REALLY be bothered to care about keeping pristine cream chairs clean when you have kids?

Then I got to thinking ......... maybe it's me that's just a lax wotsit and just expects things to get covered in baked bean sauce and thinks a rub over with a wet cloth will do the trick.......maybe they are right and I am wrong.......

what do you reckon? Would you cover your dining room chairs with clingfilm? xx

Our house is HOME,
not a show house.....
dust and dirt can be cleaned away, moments with loved ones cannot be replaced...
so I'm glad I spent hours with my kids doing something, than worrying about cleaning....having said that, I would not have let it get 'filthy'
cmdx
wish I'd have thought of the cling film are'nt some folks clever....ha ha .

I wouldn't buy pristine cream chairs, or any other cream chair lol, when the kids were little. The only possible exception would have been leather.

To expect children to be clean n keep clean everything, every minute of the day is unfair on them.
Kids are kids, being messy comes first nature to them until they've learnt otherwise.

Cling film is dangerous to children anyway.....not a good idea!!

i would be really uncomfortable if i went to someones house and they had cling film on the chairs how sticky ...

Is it definately cling film, or the polythene protectors that come on new chairs. Got to admit that my chairs still have these on. No children.......just a messy OH.

The rest of the house is a tip, but my chairs stay pristine!

Muffyxx

Muffyxx Report 21 May 2008 22:45

Muffy, I don't think I could be bothered to put clingfilm on things. Didn't someone in Eastenders clingfilm his whole flat?
