ff, pmd you hun, sounds dreadful condition. Sending gentle hugs to your daughter (hug).

Ive got degenerative back disease, lol, when son was 6 it just went, was bent over, doubled! Screaming at consultants. Morphine, others ...
Was told by Consultant couldn't work any more, not to make beds, clean bath ... wear back out. Lol was only in 30's, have worked all way through.

Was time had to take 8 Cocodomol tabs + Neurofen in between, now down to 1 tab a day. Hopefully daughters situation will be helped by right medication, new cures found every day. Crosses fingers hun.

Unfortunately the only 'cure' is to have a hysterectomy, which at 23 is not really an option.
There is a coil that can be fitted, and also medications to help ease the symtoms....I hope she sees a specialist soon and they at least manage to ease the pain she is in ((hugs))

LA, so sad, must have been awful to have to take that route.

ff Totally agree - monies always available for weapons, Olympics lol! Time they used our money to do something useful like helping those who need it!

Don't normally judge but my heart goes out on this occasion.

ff Took me 10 years to get pregnant, had miscarriage in between. Heart goes out to her, you Kaz too, know that feeling of looking and longing. I used to think, "I wouldn't shout at them, I'd hug them forever." when I saw kids being scolded, dragged ...

Gosh, your sister too Doc, so sad. Good advice hun for ff.

hi funny fairy don't worry i have 3 children, after my first it seemed to get a lot better, although does come back with a vengence every now and then...

Belinda Report 17 May 2008 14:09

Make sure she is referred to a specialist endometriosis gynae surgeon, there is alot of help if you are referred to the right person, there are medications that can help and endo can be helped surgically too but can't be cured forever, pregnancy calms it down as alot of endo (not all) feeds on oestrogen which is reduced in pregnancy, so if planning to have a family best to try early as can cause fertility problems, there is a national endometriosis society which you can join and offers support, sorry she is so unwell, Bel
