SO was it my thread that made catherine leave, there is a thread on chat "another one bites the dust" where my thread is named as being why catherine left...............

Well it was plain for all to see that Catherine wasn't 'very happy' the other evening

and yesterday morning, it seemed to me that she was still 'simmering' somewhat

so i doubt very much it was your thread Jan - i read most of her postings on it and they seemed to be joining in the spirit of the thread

At the end of the day there is only ONE person who will know the truth ....................

Oh dear Jan... I don't think that was what was meant... I think it was just being pointed out that many people are tired of not knowing who we are talking to half the time because of name changes.

Yor thread was alluded to... it was not stated as THE reason that Catherine chose to leave.

I think you're over-reacting a little bit. Read the thread on chat..............

"and finally she got fed up with people changing names and not knowing who she was talking to. (remember the thread the other night who am I?)"

The way I read that is someone else saying what they think Catherine was thinking and the title of your thread was used as an example of how we don't really know who people are if names change.

Of course that's just my opinion. And of course the earlier part of the post I cut and pasted mentioned how Catherine is very busy with her new teaching career.

you are talking about my post jan and daff is right, your thread was only a part of the problem, it was a demonstration of people not knowing who they are talking to. At no time has Catherine stated that your thread in particular was to blame.

Everthing on here is second hand info, if she hasn't said why she left why worry about it.

also would it matter if she knew my name it is only on here that i know people anyway?

I dont see that catherine left because of name changing.
God Almighty there was nobody changed their name more than Hoff..and she was the best of friends with him
And is their a rule on here that you cant change your name if you want to.

last word Jan. I mentioned your thread as an example because there was a lot of controversy on it over not knowing who you were and it was the most recent.
