I have to take my beautiful Belle to the vet soon. She has not had a good night, or day and is now finding it difficult to eat.

I feel that it might be her time, and I am just so dreading it.

We have shared so much love.. she is around 18 maybe older, and had been through the mill a bit before she found us, but she has been content and happy until early this morning.

Love, and thank you,

Daff xxxx

Thank you so much, all of you..... I have brought her home... it isn't her time just now, thank goodness... I am still all tearful, daft bat that I am!!

Vet gave her some painkiller, a bigger dose than she has been having. We then waited 10 minutes for it to start working, and we tried her with some special food that is used for convalescing cats. Belle managed to eat it... it took her a while, but she has eaten.

We decided that as her tumour is benign even though it is growing, all her other functions are very good, she is not ill as such, just unable to eat when she is in pain. We have proven that once there is no pain, she can eat... she has only lost 100 grammes since last month, so we are doing something right.

The criteria now is that we will make the decision when the new dose of painkiller she is now on no longer works, and she is totally unable to eat or drink. Any higher a dose would kill her anyway, so it is a careful balancing act.

So we have a little more quality time with her, thank goodness.

Positive thinking really does work... she was feeling really sorry for herself, but has perked up no end now!

Love and ((((hugs)))))) to you all

It's the sad look they give you and you wish you ask them if they have pain.At least with children they can tell you.
I hope you have some more quality time with her.
