Thanks Teresa

Thanks for clarifying that, I re read and you did say that in you opening post (sorry)

It was just as I read through the first time someone mentioned reporting and I based some of the content of my posts on that really.

Obviously people on your thread were upset and you had the grace to remove it, and apologise. But again I say its daft to want to not post again, just take things on board and move on :o))

(bet you wont post a similer joke again lol...I diddnt when it happened to me way back )

:o)))

Leanne

I know you meant no offence, I also know Teresa also diddnt mean any offence either.:o))

My point Its just that I wish people wouldnt assume that because they or their friends wouldnt be offended or upset by something, that the same should apply to everyone.

It may have offended someone, or upset them, or maybe they thought the joke was in poor taste ...maybe when doing a sweep of the boards Gr spotted it and removed it for their own reasons,,,,,,,,,,,,,.who knows ?

Its gone & its move on time :o))

like i said, my nanna had dementia and she died on february 14th 2007 valentines day... she never knew i was pregnant, i went into labour that day and had my son on 16th february 2007,..... she never got to see her great grandson......
I'm still in pain over this and the hurt that illness has done to my family, i cant even cry...
Teresa if i can see there was nothing wrong with your thread, then i think the person/s who got it pulled should see my words to know what pain and sorrow is, I'm not the only one to be affected by this illness and will not be the last...... i look at my son and see hope and that gets me through it...
I need to see and hear laughter.... not pettiness and bitterness....
Bless you Teresa for trying to bring humour into our lives.
take care

Mildred, i work with dementia and Altzheimers patients, and their relatives. I have the utmost respect for both parties.
I feel for the relatives because it is so upsetting for them, but at the same time, the majority do have a sense of humour.
I am not dissagreeing with you, just no offence was meant.

My grandmother died from dementia related symtoms, and I didn't find your thread at all offensive. For those of us who have lived with dementia, we know that often the only way to get through the day without crying or screaming is to laugh at the condition...So post away. Ann has summed up the situation perfectly

Hi Teresa,

I added to your thread as I thought it really funny.
I have had too many dealings with family and dementia and wasn't the slightest bit offended.

Please carry on posting as your threads yesterday brightened me no-end.

Teresa Don't worry so much.
My Mum has only just recently been diagnosed with Dementia and I wasn't offended either, neither was she.
WE british are quite good at laughing at ourselves and it's one of the things that sets us apart from other cultures.
We have a sense of humour and are capable of not taking life too seriously.
Keep us smiling.

I didn't see it,but if it was somebody who has this problem in their family, was upset about it,they should think on all other threads that can upset people.

Having just lost my father a lot of threads jumped out at me. Did I report them? no cause life goes on and we should be able to discuss what we like. If we dont like it,dont read it.
