I think I might try the sugar on lettuce to get my kids to eat more. |

My mum used to love bread and dripping and a couple of years ago when I went to visit her in her nursing home I took her a few stawberries in a plastic bowl and said guess what I've brought you and she said oh bread and dripping lol. |

Dripping - used to love it. My dad (who was the cook in the family) used to save the dripping in a cup and I used to carefully prise the dripping out of the cup (when it was set) and scoop out the gravy from the bottom. On hot toast with a bit of salt! Delicious. Although, can't say I'd eat it now! |

Bread and butter with sugar on - a special treat during the war years can still remember the crunch. I also add a little sugar to tinned toms. takes the bitterness away |

I have heard that ground black pepper is good on strawberries but as I hate pepper I haven't tried it. When you do the salt on pineapple, do you soak the whole pineapple is salt water or when it is cut? |
