Lol

I have just found that I have an American serial Killer in my tree.....Joe Ball 1896-1938

Joseph D. Ball, also known as "Alligator Man" and "the Butcher of Elmendorf," was a murderer and bootlegger in the 1930's at the end of Prohibition.

All I've found is a 19th century loud mouth who tried (unsuccessfully) to derail a train!!
I suppose if he's managed he would be a mass murderer, but seeing the report on the trial, still wouldn't make the young thug romantic!!!

Praps we should start a league of villains :-)

Maggie and Blue Eyes.....did you look on the National archives site (PRO).....where you can purchase the trial transcriptions....should make an interesting read.

Why are you Jealous Daff?.....aren't convicts on the Juliana one of whom had a poem written about her and a whole chapter in a book as well as written about in Australia good enough? Tsk!.....when are you going to put up her poem anyway?

edit: sorry Maggie...on a re-read I see you have read a report on the trial :-) I don't think I find the Mass murderer romantic as such lol....just amazed at finding one at all.....makes you shiver at the thought of it.
