Dawnie, I feel so much for you at this time. A big part of my work is end-of-life care and that includes looking after the relatives.
Have you spoken with anyone about your nan's pain?
Prayers and positive thoughts for your nan, you and all the family.

absolutely heartbreaking isn't it, all you can hope for is a peaceful end to her suffering - my Dad wanted to die and it broke my heart when he told me one day in hospital "Go home now and forget all about me" Makes me cry now just thinking about it - how could I, but he didn't want me to grieve

Dawn, it is so hard when you know somebody you love wants to leave you behind, and it is even harder to see them suffering. It was the same with my dad, he was 93 and in the end just more or less turned his face to the wall and went to sleep. He was never the same after my Mum died - they were married 60 years all but a month and he couldn't get on with life without her.

I hope it wont be too long before she gets her wish and I hope the end wont be too hard for you.

Lots of (((((hugs))))) for you.

Dawn love, you must eat, keep your strength up. I know how helpless you feel; when my Nan was just wasting away, my Mum (her daughter) said it's so unfair, as we put animals to sleep to save them suffering. That was in 1980; my darling Nan passed shortly after. I'll bet Grandad was waiting to take her hand ............
